Let's keep having posts like this. When we go to banks for updates, let's post same here for others to know what's going on. If I had seen this earlier, I would have considered GTB instead of Stanbic. skyangel: 6 Likes |

zamirikpo:if atiku win rate will drop....why because atiku will float the naira and naira will find it market value with the 75 percent chances of it moving to 340 ....this will encourage more dollar investment to the bond and treasury bill market flowing inward cos a major risk (forex risk) is out of the equation ..with ober subscribed tb rate will go down..and he might lift the ban of other items like rice and allow private depot to import pms against only nnpc and also open land borders with cheap import coming in ...food inflation will go down and liquidity challenge will be low forcing cbn to cut rate in favor of the real sector to access loan...in the end atiku presidency will lead to lower t.b rate ....while pmb will keep rate at 15 cos he not willing to change any of his economic fundamental......atiku must cut rate to ginger leading to the private sector... Bank can't give loan to bussiness when 15 percent risk free is there but if rate drops to 8 percent they are force to take risk at 25 percent to remain viable....hp am making sense....am a street economist and self educated one.. 4 Likes |

ahiboilandgas: I agree to all the above but on the Floatation ...Nah...Not possible.. if naira's float ..fx rate to a naira will move n500-n700...the reason why it still 360 is because CBN is still injecting almost $ 200 M into the system every week or 2 weeks..now imagine if cbn stop ? The first step to float the currency is to reduce foreign consumption/ importation and improve more on exportation 1 Like |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ahiboilandgas: 9:30am On Feb 22, 2019 |
tritritri:wrong if naira is floated ,it leads to more inflow of dollars from portfolio investors ...currently cos of the fixed regime 30 bn dollars that should have come in to Nigeria is stalled...this sum if unlock can crash the rate by 20 percent...the cbn is the main source of forex cos all international transfer earning is ware house in cbn and use to feed the dollars demand |

ahiboilandgas: During jonathan erra. d reserve was at $50-60Billion....nothing was floated...atiku will do nothing..believe me..any winner will first use 1-2yr to recover (steal) dere investment on election from the reserve . During jonatan erra...with all the foreign investors was naira floated ? dont tell me ur believing all this politicians fake promises. remember dis same buhari was nickname Savior before the election ? Let dangote start his refinery . Let see the effect on our FX.. then i will believe U. 3 Likes |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Agbaletu: 9:50am On Feb 22, 2019 |
ahiboilandgas:If Naira is floated today, a dollar will go as high as N380 - 400. Yes, Atiku has promised to float Naira. Once it is floated, Naira will first fall but as soon as foreign investors come in with their dollars, Naira will appreciate. Dollar may later settle below N350 once the economy is a bit stable and Tbills will be around 9% for 364 days tenor. We should just have it at the back of our mind that TBills may not rise beyond 15%. 1 Like |
