Let me begin by listing all Nigerian leaders accordingly and perhaps, with a brief summary 1. Sir Tafawa Balewa and Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe: They were not hated but loved. So many people admired their leadership qualities 2. Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi: His regime was short-lived 3. Gen. Yakubu Gowon: He was a war time leader. Despite that, he's still revered by some people for keeping the country together 4. Gen. Murtala Mohammed: He is still loved and, despite his short stay in office, is remembered for his efforts in trying to reform the Civil Service 5. Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo: Voluntarily handed power to a Civilian President as Head of State. Himself came back as Civilian President and helped the Country secured debt relief, created EFCC, ICPC and did a host of other things. I can't say if he's really loved by Nigerians but he's not hated either 6. Alhaji Shehu Shagari: His regime was alleged to be corrupt but he is still loved for his simplicity 7. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari: As Head of State, Nigerians were said to be disenchanted with his regime because of hunger due to severe food shortages and cluelessness of his regime. In fact, when he was kicked out of office by IBB, there was wild celebrations in the country. People were dancing, wining and dinning. Now as a Civilian President, over 70% of Nigerians seem to disagree with his policies. 8. Gen. Ibrahim Babangida: President Babangida administration was alleged to be corrupt but a lot of people still believe he did fairly well except the annulment of the Presidential Election 9. Gen. Sanni Abacha: He was a brutal dictator and his regime not free from corruption. Despite sanctions, he managed to run the economy efficiently. 10. Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar: Took over power for a short time and handed over to a Civilian President. He is not hated 11. Umaru Musa Yara'dua: He was very prudent, principled, frugal and a true man of integrity. He declared his assets and liabilities and ordered it be made accessible to Nigerians to know his worth. He's loved by most Nigerians 12. Goodluck Jonathan: Took over from Umaru and did his best before he was voted out. His humane nature and gentility was his greatest undoing. My question is, why is Buhari the most hated among them? Is there something we need to know? 2 Likes |

the only people who hate buhari comes from 5 landlocked states of eastern nigeria and their only reason was because they were told to do so by jonathan and their very low literacy level that prevents them from independent thinking  3 Likes 1 Share |

To whom much is given, much is also expected. He was a military head of state and his reigns was characterized with hunger, poverty, unemployment, lost of employment and IBB came to Nigeria's rescue, the trail of that rescue is what Col Dasuki (rtd) is suffering today. here again, he comes, with all promises that he has repented, yet this time in addition to his 'achievements' of 1983/4, he has added unmitigated killings, with thousands of job loss daily. Everyone you listed were intelligent, buhari's brain and a goat own, I don't really know which is actually smarter. Buhari may be a illiterate but there are still many illiterates who have sharp responses and solution to situations. Illiteracy is not an excuse for being dumb, maybe buhari was one of those children that stopped breastfeeding after two months, hence the reason for his dumbness. OP you are wrong. Buhari is not the most hated president.. Majority of those that hate Buhari are mostly the corrupt minded Nigerians(majority are the flat headed pigs) as well those those that have corruption in their lineage. But majority of Nigerians that hates any form of corrupt practices as well those who wish good for the future of this country,always Love Buhari. we are on 4+4 next level. |

he doesn't have a forgiving mind, he is also a sadist, he is yet tp forgive Nigerians for not voting for him the very first time he contested, that we forced him to form an alliance to come on board, to him, if it is not him, nothing works and he has nothing either to offer. if APC hadn't nominated him, he wouldn't have agreed to the alliance.
