you didn't tell us what you did to get an earlier date for interview, even after I subtly told you, that's not good enough bro. Moreover someone else could have learnt from it and applied same to get a date as well, at least you saw someone (@ vantades) here asking for assistance on how he can get a date not too long. Hello bro I'm sorry if you think I haven't answered the question. Why would I be hiding anything if I had done anything special Like I said earlier it's God's grace and favour. I booked interview earlier last month which was 12/03/019 (I may not meet up with my enrollment deadline 18/04/019) I had to cancel my previous interview scheduled date when I haven't gotten AL. After cancelling I then rebook via mail even tho it took the embassy almost a week to reply me but I noticed I mailed them severally, morning, midnight, day period, but I noticed once my document is incomplete they would reply immediately that my documents (i.e AL, int Passport and proof f fund) are incomplete. After consulting elders especially from this forum and a WhatsApp group for Germany aspirants. I summoned courage to can my previous appointment even though people were saying I may get a far*RER date(op u get what I mean lol) I could remembered I mailed them again last week sunday17/02/019 IMMEDIATELY I CANCEL MY PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT. So I later got a response from them at exactly 8am prompt on Monday morning 18/02 (new interview date 25/02/019) but one thing I NOTICED was that I was not rescheduled until I cancel my previous appointment. I'm sorry Eldeee and everyone that I'm just writing this maybe it's too late kindly pardon my lacadasical thought. I was thinking I didn't do anything special but God's grace I wish everyone the very best. Once again I'm sorry if anyone feels I was hiding information I just thought it's not necessary since I did nothing special but I promised such will never repeat itself no matter how unnecessaries they might look May we all find the reason while we're, may we all get that good news we have been waiting for. KingUCC: Hello guys, What do you have to say about my case? I was interviewed on 13th September, mailed my sponsorship letter to the Embassy on 18th September, the Embassy mailed me back on 28th September to contact my sponsor to correct a mistake on the SL by producing a new one. My sponsor was only gonna be chanced on 22nd October to go for a new one because of the nature of her Job, it was gonna be a long wait but I had no choice. My AM came on 10th October and one of the documents asked for was a proof that matriculation deadline would be extended for me in case I would have to travel after 5th November. So the new SL was ready and was mailed to me on 23rd October, I printed it on a concord paper and took it the Embassy alongside my Passport and the other docs same day. I forwarded same SL as a reply to the mail which asked for a new one and also to info@lago.diplo.de the next day. The real copy of the SL got to me later. 1st November was my supposed travel date. I have sent several mails and called the Embassy severally too. One of the times(in November), the lady operator called a VO to speak to me, she asked for my name, reference number and confirmed the documents I submitted and said they'd work on it. One week later, the operator placed me on hold, came back and said they're working on it, the next week, she said I'd soon hear from them, and this was all in November. Well, I still didn't hear from them until 12th December when they replied a mail I sent in Deutsche on 10th December, they said I should be assured that all enquiries would be treated, that they couldn't reveal any more details about my status and that I should be a little more patient until they get back to me. I'd also like to state that my admission is for one year, which means I can enrol in either Winter semester 2018 or in Summer semester 2019.
I had to be as detailed as I could so you guys would get a clear picture of the ordeal.
Well, my patience-tank which was initially full has just about 2 cups remaining before I loose it.
So wetin una thinks say I fit do for this matter as the matter don dey tire me??
Hello guys, So my visa was delayed by the Embassy until I figured out what the problem was. It was delayed for about for 2 months and 3 weeks( no one should mention village people ). The delay was because I sent them a printed copy of my SL instead of the original copy (I didn't have the original yet). I sent lots of mails and made several calls until 4th January, I called, the call operator asked, the visa section said they didn't understand the proof of means of subsistence I sent, and so I figured it's because It wasn't the original. I took the original to them same day and they called me 4 days later to ask when I'd like to travel. A piece of advice, ensure you send them the originals of whatever documents they ask for after AM, (especially SL, that's if it wasn't with you during your interview) because they may not tell you why your visa is delayed until it's too late. Also, always go with your visa application receipt if you wanna drop off your documents and you do not have appointment letter, else Paulinus will use you to shine( this post would be incomplete without the name 'Paulinus' ), he shined with me and I had to take bike from Walter Carrington to the Mainland and back just to beat 12 noon closing time . And so I bounced into Germany with my small traveling bag, a Tshirt and a Jean Jacket like a big boy. When I walked out of the plane, the cold shocked my neck and my legs and my body started vibrating intermittently like I had seasonal epilepsy, and I told myself 'mehn -5^C doesn't look good on you'. When I walked out of the Airport, my big boyness vanished, I became dumb as the vibration had taken over my entire body. Thanks to one of the Ogas here who came to my rescue at the Airport, I would have started going to Thuringia instead of Duisburg. So if you coming to Deutschland any time soon(though winter is gradually going), ensure you have your thermal wears and appropriate jackets, else the cold will deal with you until you find your feet. For small traveling bag, the advantage is that you wouldn't struggle from the airport to wherever you going but you'd have to deal with eating food that tastes like 'what I don't know' . If you can, bring as much home food as possible, unless you have money for African stores. And so, if you using SL, ensure you come with enough money, you'll need it for feeding, train transportation(Until you get your semester ticket). You should also ensure you have a temporary place of abode, else you'll need money for temporary shared rooms until you get your apartment, except, of course, you secured a room/apartment before coming over. Lastly, if you applied/are applying for accommodation with Studierendenwerk(especially for NRW), you can pay the reservation fee when they ask you to, just to have a room reserved for you, but do not sign their contract just yet until you've secured your visa and gotten over to Deutschland, to avoid having nasty experience. P.S. Everything I wrote about isn't standard, it's just personal opinion. To everyone waiting on admission confirmation, visa interview appointment, visa interview day, AM, visa delivery etc., I wish you all the best of luck. 31 Likes 6 Shares |

* look at the course contents for this particular course, highlight two or three courses you have so much interest in, with cogent reasons citing examples as it relates to application in our modern day life. You can also date it back to history by stating how you look forward to lectures of one or two topics you did while in secondary school that relates to this courses in question
** If you did some courses that relates to molecular biology or evolutionary biology at the University or during your biology classes in secondary school, kindly state them. Take for instance, you can say during my secondary school days we did a course on the theory of evolution where we were introduced to Charles Darwin theory, interactions of the DNA, RNA, protein and the regulation of this interactions, etc.
***Have you done any research work on evolutionary biology or molecular biology maybe in school, or during your IT (internships), if so kindly state what you observed or learnt during this process, or probably it's application in our world today). Take note if you know you didn't do any of such research during your undergraduate studies, quickly switch to internships cos they will probably not have any trace of that......you know what I mean ba.
**** look at the options made available for this course, options I mean is specializations, do some research as it relates to it providing solutions to modern day issues. Read what it entails and relate it to something you will be interested to do at the end of the semester.
Sorry am not biologically inclined, would have given you tips with more examples. This is just the one I know from my biology class during my secondary school days.
Hope you find this resourceful nevertheless. Thank you very much. That's exactly what I did. |

To everyone waiting on admission confirmation, visa interview appointment, visa interview day, AM, visa delivery etc., I wish you all the best of luck. Congrats bro. But then when you still had issues with them. You should have known that you were to submit the original SL immediately it arrived here. Probably you weren't too informed then. The embassy deals with originals and not just mere photocopies especially when it comes to Verpflichtungserklärung. Normally, they should have mailed you to send or drop the original but they decided to feed on your ignorance (these guys don't care sometimes) and sometimes it depends on the person handling your application.
