I am also highly disappointed in South West votes. One Ibo man at Mowe once told us he is not happy with the reconstruction of Lagos / Ibadan expressway. He said the project is being hurriedly constructed to be finished within Buhari 4 years. He said the project will be frustrated and not completed. That was 2016. Everything he said happened.

Yoruba is supposed to vote the Ibo way. If Ibo can vote 98% for PDP, Yoruba is supposed to vote 98% vote for APC. Baba Ogunde cried Yoruba Ronu till death. Late Gbenga Adeboye did the same. It seems they are under curse.

I couldn't agree with you more. Infact it's sickening. I recently told two pro-buhari Oyo men that if Buhari should lose this election it will be due to lack of enough SW votes. Our people have forgotten that his election is about regional interests. Our much touted sophistication may cost us more heavily if we continue with this foolishness. Even if not for any other reason, they should have considered Osinbajo that is also on the ticket. My only consolation is that Buhari will most likely still end up winning in spite of this unimpressive SW showing.

Yoruba governors are horrible set of people. They are so divided and their greatest desire was to see Buhari defeated because of their hate for Tinubu the same man who got them into power. Tembelekun and jealously is our biggest issue as a people

I agree with you on this because the result I'm reading at APC stronghold in west is quite annoying

I guess they've to organise a meeting regardless of parties and adjust what's needed to be adjusted, Tinubu should also give other state leaders freedom of handling their state and settle with them amicably

doesnt matter bro, its good that yoruba people arent like igbos

thats why most of the country prefer to stay in the south west over the south east, no tribe should be so closed minded, save for the igbo but no one cares about 5%

What are you saying the yoruba man will get killed and the dog will be voted. But is it our fault, when our governors have no empowerment program for us and some bunch of kidnappers and drug dealer ibos are buying a third of the state. It's a complex issue we need to fix before the next election

You are right and I must for the first time on this forum admit that there is an economic gap in the south west that our Governors need to fix else the violence we saw in Lagos today will snowball into a major crisis soon.

The violence perpetuated in Lagos today is an offshoot of that economic gap

Even those of us on nairaland and Twitter constituencies are still awaiting arrival of INEC materials.

Bullshyt. In the presentday Nigeria we need to vote like the igbos for self preservation. An Atiku win would result in the marginalization of the Yoruba people. I am a Yoruba nationalist with a pragmatic approach to politics. Our sophistication is bullshyt and ends up shortchanging us in instances like this one.

Our liberalism has started working against us and will continue to do so until we begin to put our regional interests first before petty politics. Imagine, even after GEJ marginalized us he still got almost half of the votes from our region in 2015. That's bullshyt and unacceptable. That tells you that we have a serious problem on our hands.

Lol. You guys should just pray Igbos doesn't make coalition with the north. Because if you get marginalised there's nothing that could make you bounce back.
I'm already seeing PDP taking the seat in 2023 with Hausa\igbo presidency

And some fools, will open thier mouth to call Yoruba tribalistic people, actually it is paining me because we are not tribalistic, if Igbo gave their son 98% of thier Vote, why can't Yoruba do the same?

I just hope what am seeing here is not the final for Southwest, if it is, then we don't deserve 2023 presidency, if we can't support Buhari and our own son, then I don't expect Buhari to support us in 2023,

Yorubas should better get sense, this liberal politics won't take us anywhere.
