Spiritualizt: Southern politicians don't seem to have a clue about how the 20 states political structure proliferated by northern soldiers in northern region makes southern politicians subservient to Northern politicians in Nigeria's political process. 25% votes is required by a presidential candidate from 2/3 of the 36 states before declared winner of Nigeria's presidential election. Thus, the professors from southern Nigeria play subservient roles to Northern leaders. No country formed by different regions ever used land mass or population to determine how many new states or LGAs can be created in any of the regions. Political correctness and equity between the regions are the main criteria when creating new political units in a country originally formed by different regions. 2 Likes |
