Topsmamen: Will start something soonest. I intend using an agent because of the stress. I heard it's stressful and one needs the services of a professional to avoid error. |

nat138: Will definitely discuss with her. She even suggested she starts her PhD in SA by January next year, and start applying for another one in Canada against September next year (as all schools have closed their application portal for this year) while we pursue the PR stuff. I just hope we will have enough money for this. Thank you very much 1 Like |

Thanks a lot. Are you in the project management field Already in canada? If yes, how easy is it to get a job in the field for someone who doesn't have any work experience in PM? NanaF: 1 Like 1 Share |

yinka78: You're welcome sir. If your family starts the FSW process immediately, you will most likely get PR before January next year. Is the PhD in SA sponsored ie on scholarship? If it isn't, please do a scale of preference 4 Likes |

nat138: Thank you for the response sir. The Ph.D in SA isn't sponsored. We are going to pay for everything. I think we should be thinking of IELTS right now. Please, do you have an idea of the cost implication? |

yinka78:Please rethink this plan, most of the people who are getting banned for misrepresentation went through agents. It is not complicated at all, come over to the other thread and take a look. About the plans; I vote you forget the SA plans, immigrate and then she can go to school in Canada 13 Likes |

yinka78: If you can sponsor her PhD in SA, then the costs should be no biggie...people without 'toro' in their bank accounts started this journey and God came through, per time. per time. Cheers. Visit the prequel to this thread (search for express entry canada part 6 currently in part 7 though but 6 has more information) and familiarize yourself with page one. 10 Likes |

Buy Samsung please. It actually depends sha. I couldn't use my Nokia 6 with Freedom Mobile. It worked with Public mobile though. I had to buy a new phone here. But the thing is to check the phone's compatibility with various networks using the phone's IMEI number. You will know for sure that way. Folafikemi: 9 Likes 8 Shares |

If you are having the issue of location change and if you haven't already tried it, try going to Settings in your Google playstore and change your payment details from Nigeria to that of Canada. It will require you to enter Credit Card details. No charges will be taken. I did this and now I can access all Canadian app with my Samsung phone. lolarde: 12 Likes 11 Shares |

gogedda: Nope studying for CAPM which is like pre-PMP as you might not have enough experience for PMP and your application may be selected for an audit. As per ease in PM Field I know someone who got a PM job with no prior experience but was able to display knowledge during interviews and made his résume PM oriented. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Guitarlife: Survival jobs are hard to come by? Seriously? I am sure there must be agencies in Calgary where you can walk in to come out with a temp job right away. On one of your posts, you were considering moving from Alberta to Ontario. I am not sure if this would be a good move. Based on some testimonies I have read on this forum, and based on my sister testimony, you are standing a better chance to make it in Alberta than you would in Ontario. Then again, just as with everything in life, there is never a one-size-fits-all. Something may work for someone but may not work for the next person. 8 Likes |

Newmum0615: I join you in congratulating our sister @agates on the beautiful addition to the family. God's blessings won't cease from our families. BTW... @Newmum0615, Congratulations on your landing story. It was indeed ground breaking(I can relate with the emotions behind every line typed... I'm already fighting back mine too...sometimes, I tell myself we'll go land and return back to naija and go back permanently after 1 year ...I laugh at myself at those thoughts..the main fear isn't lack of finances or whether one will get an immediate job replacement but rather leaving behind several cherished and built relationships, ones communities-church, social life etc...it's well. Whenever those thoughts come up though, I immediately "auto-correct" them with the main reasons I wanted out in the first place. ..we focus on the goal as we move to loftier phases of our lives) Biko, let's relate via email as we need some tips for food packing....it's odikwa very important! It will end in praise IJN! 18 Likes 2 Shares |
