Please, i have a question house. My brother noticed sludge build up on his newly acquired 2006 corolla with 160k miles intended for Uber. How can the sludge build up be removed before using synthetic oil on it? And are there any effects if synthetic oil is used without getting rid if the sludge, From my understanding, it's like this slugde is like a cancer to the engine.

Please, is it advisable to buy Tokumbo cars already imported in Nigeria or to buy and ship down here.

I am asking because of the term "landing cost".

I tried buying a car from one of these auction sites through a nairaland agent.

The total calculated cost of having a 2007 Toyota corolla handed to me was 2.9-3M

Registration cost and other miscellaneous costs not included.

There was one that the total value on the Auction site was 900k but when the agent was done calculating everything to get the car to me, we ended at 2.6M

What could have happened? Which is the best?

Please help as I am planning on heading to Apapa next week to search for one to buy.

I understand that the cost here is between 1.9M-2.2M

Thanks Franksam, i really do appreciate but that means no point flushing the engine before synthetic oil application right?

Use an oil flush 5-10 minutes before you do your next oil change then drain and start with 10w30 synthetic.

Thanks ma'am i really do appreciate your input but why 10w30 when i was meant to understand 5w30 is best for 06 corolla. I'm just curious ma'am.

never use oil flush on your engine, their is a 95% chance of ur seals going bad after flush which will result in consistent oil shortage. Just change ur oils on a monthly intervals and you will be fine

To compensate for potential abuse. If the car takes it well then you can further go back to 5w30

Drain oil and use 0w40, if it does not burn, next oil change you can use 5w30 And stick with it.

You can find the engine oil here.

You can pick it up from this location here.

There is something you aren't telling us here. Uber can't just block an account without any evidence of fraud or any other irregularities. They probably must have flagged ur account in the past consequently issuing you a warning in that respect but yet you remained adamant. Just look for an alternative las las u will be fine.

Try Gazzuzz approach. It's cheaper. I still say flush but try his approach. If it doesn't clear you can always flush later.
