I understand that in the USA voters are classified into Democratics and Republicans (source Quora):

Most illiterate voters (dropouts) vote democrat. Those simply ignorant of science vote republican. Other statistical likelihoods:

Welfare recipient (democrat)
Racist (republican)
Drug user (democrat)
Social security recipient (republican)
Doesnt speak English (democrat)
Banker/oligarch (republican)

Democrats can have 10 million votes more than Republicans and still lose the election. How can our fate in this country be decided by cow headsmen and stack illiterates and yet their vote will count the same as a university professor.

They are religious fanatics who breed children like baby rats and don't care about birth control, education and quality of life! But because they out number the population of Nigeria they decide who leads you and I. Tell me, why won't we have dumb leaders when the people who elect them are incredibly stupid.

I have decided not to help any northern begger in my life or give a shiit about what happens over there, they don't care about the rest of us, so why should we? Nigeria can't work this way, another 4 years of hardship is something we never imagined.

To be broad minded is to have an answer to the reason why Jonathan from the SS who contested in 2011 won the Northerner, Buhari while yet the North still at then have their people in their multitude. Buhari vs Obasanjo, Obasanjo won. What is responsible for Buhari not winning in the past despite the highest number of the North which this your "hope" is trying to make an emphasis on.

When you guys finish crying over this election loss i hope you guys regroup but this time make sure you do it with smart people. People that'll put proper solutions forward not ppl that all they know how to do is spread fake news and division. APC lost as much as they did in the SW because of their governors. Buhari won overall in the SW, this your analysis that claims Buhari lost in the SW is just confusing, this thing just happened less than a week ago, do you just assume all of us have forgotten already? All the inner problems in a state like Oyo caused votes to be split. There were 40k votes that went to other parties that should have gone to APC if not for all the in fighting. APC lost Ondo because Akeredolu is a useless governor and if he was up next week, he probably would lose. I hope this makes him sit up and if he doesn't that his business. If we really are serious about this politics and putting the right people there we need the real analysis, the truth so that we know where to focus our energy on. Some of these politicians that remain on top know exactly what the situation is, that's the reason they keep surviving. Let's stop this lazy, social media analysis cos you want to get likes. Atiku was never an option... NEXT!! You guys keep saying only uneducated ppl voted Buhari, my advise, step out of that your terribly small bubble and interact with people smarter than you. What part of being literate makes you support an internationally known thief?? Get out there and again mix with people other than people from whatever corner you live. Its not that people think Buhari is the best guy for the job but a lot just recognised Atiku is a no no. Even Atiku kept dropping clues about what he's interested in but the so-called literates blocked their ears and eyes to anything negative about Atiku cos they hate Buhari. They did not betray the decision was made known to him but he chose to go against it. When Jonathan decided to go for second term the influencers left PDP. If not that Jonathan contested for second term, Buhari would not be president today.

Trying to equate these things is not only a travesty but a subtle endorsement of terrorism! One of the reason I'd want the protectorates to be de-amalgamated is the desire to have a country that's not labelled with terrorism so real growth and FDI can take place. Wouldn't it have been seamless to have merged Northern Nigeria with Niger republic? Southern Nigeria and Northern Nigeria is like oil and water... they can never mix!
