Mctom has tried enough, now he can be honorably rested on the Bench as a possible Backup. I expect to see Perreira in the Lineup, I think he deserves a look after the poor and abysmal performances of Mctom and Fred respectively so far.

He did averagely ok as a Number 6 at the beginning of the Season. I hope he earns the trust and confidence of OGS. I hope he replaces Matic in the first XI instead of wasting £££ on another Fred!

Abysmal display by McTominay? That's confusing. The guy was pretty impressive for me. He was extremely disciplined, level headed and diligent in his duties. For the first time, he was confident enough to thread some passes through defensive lines.

The fact that he has so far secured the trust of The Toxic One and President Ole is a testament in itself to the solidity he adds to the team. The gaffer refers to him as our new Fletcher and I think with much more hard work he can become just as good.

Just because some players have less flashy means of getting the job done does not necessarily mean they did poorly. Haba!

McTominay actually did ok as the game progressed, and like DeadPresidents said i noticed he was confident enough to attempt and complete several threaded passes between the lines of the opposition midfielders.

In contrast Fred was happy just playing safe passes all day or swinging slow lofted passes to the full backs. He contributed little or nothing to our build up play.

I do not have confidence in him or his style of play to be candid.

There are rumors Ole has been given the job on a permanent basis. Waiting for confirmation.

Yeah, Fred has been awful. I think his price tag could be doing the talking at the moment because I don't see how Andreas could be much worse in the role he played yesterday.

Anyways, happy to see the progress of Luke Shaw. Man is starting to remember how to spring attacks again.

I think we should continue the Dalot up top experiment. I like the wariness he instills in opposition defenders and since he keeps the width, he helps the center forward by dragging markers.

On Wednesday McTom played cowardly for most part of the game. He oftentimes isolated himself so he wouldn't get the ball because he was afraid of losing it. He made a number of forward passes though; but, that won't make up for disappearing when he should be receiving the ball and distributing play.

I watched substitute James Garner's video and I admire the way he plays. He has the vision to make a penetrating pass from deep. He makes tackles and releases the ball immediately to the next available attacking player for a counter when necessary. This doesn't mean he doesn't make those moves himself.

I haven't seen him in a full match though to completely assess him. OGS calls him the "next Carrick" but we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully he plays on Saturday like OGS hinted.

I like this idea. He's got pace and the energy for ghenghen pressing.

McTonimay only improved in the second half when the team improved. His kind of players are only as good as the team and that's honestly not good enough, we need players who bring something to the team even when we are not playing well.

McTomminay is starting the next game and all games after that until Matic and Herrera are fit again to start together else OGS will still pick McTomminay to complete the three..

Nigga has his flaws but he's better than his competitors (Perriera, Fred)...

McTom improved as the game progressed and was actually hindered by Fred who was coming so deep and standing beside the CBs, only to pass the ball back to the same CBs.

I am not a big fan of McTom but he was not as awful as described in this match.
And i don’t think this is a debate between Garner and McTominay. The only advantage McTom has is age, Garner is way more talented.

I watch these youth players religiously, and I am not convinced they are ready PHYSICALLY to play a big role in the senior team.
I guess OGS and his team who watch them in training daily will make the right choice.

"We need to get back to winning ways at home. We've been fantastic away, but at home we've not scored in the last two. I'm sure Rom, Alexis and Marcus, whoever is going to play up top, will get their chances to score."

"When he [Shaw] goes into fifth gear there's no one quicker than him — he's so sharp off the mark. Of course confidence grows when you play and when you play well, so I've been delighted with his performances."

Wasn’t debating about McTom. Just stating my opinion. He sucked for most of the game.

About Garner and other youth players, you’re right. The EPL is very demanding physically. I just hope these younguns are eased gradually and properly into senior football.

I saw Chong warm up at Selhurst Park on Wednesday only to see Rashford replace Sanchez despite his condition. There’s definitely a reason for the change of plans and Palace’s physicality is probably top amongst them. Even Bailly had to come rescue Young from the jaws of Zaha.

Young prevented Chong from playing.
We were comfortably leading 2-0 and Ole wanted to give Chongy some minutes but the Palace goal put paid to that.
He had to send in the big guns.

I was happy seeing the young man warm up, only to see us concede, I just knew he was never coming on again.

Funny enough yesterday was d very first time I actually watched his video on YouTube,I was just shouting see carrick oo see carrick oo...and he's a very good tackler like Keane..I like his confidence to always give that vertical pass through defense lines...after januzaj,I think I'm finally excited about a youth progressing to our first team..

I never said that. I earlier stated I wasn’t convinced any of the young players was ready for EPL.

I was only summarizing the sequence of events that prevented Chong from playing.
