For people that have applied for study visa, it takes 8weeks to be processed as informed by SAHC, Lagos. The consular staff claimed they are aware that schools in SA have resumed and lectures have commenced therefore, they are prioritising study visa processing.

This talk about bribing SA embassy and agent has to stop, this sort of discussion will not take place here.

If they would issue receipt, then its not bribe. I would have to go look for the post and drop it here.

Meanwhile, has anyone wondered why the numbers of Nigeria consular are not going through?

https://mingooland.com/2018/11/nigerians-petition-south-africa-embassy-over-seized-passport/

“To ensure that the entrance clearance is not delayed, our client paid close to N200,000.00 for VIP visa fees for the four delegates. However, for the past three weeks the Embassy has failed, refused and or neglected to release the said visa/ passport of the four delegates without any information, despite repeated demands made by our client with even a letter of reminder dated 13th November 2018 sent to your office and series of emails sent,” the letter said.

Click the link to read the full story. So if this was done at VFS and the visa applicants sought the counsel of a lawyer, I wouldn't call it bribe.

Was that a bribe or visa fees for express visa processing ?

Adsales:
The way the SA High Consulate in Nigeria delays visa applications is crazy. Imagine a useless country like South Africa holding onto people's passports for weeks, some people book flights, hotel accommodation, make solid travel plans, prepare to attend conferences and then they treat our applications with disdain like time is not of the essence. Better countries at least respect timing. What a waste of time and money. Never again.

If the Country is useless then why are you crying and gloating over their VISA, why don't you stay back in your useful Nigeria, why bother spending so much to travel to a useless Country?? I believe you are one of those who is looking for an escape route out of Nigeria hence your desperation. My advice to you, stay back in Nigeria and find something doing,be useful to yourself first before thinking of where to travel to, don't come here and add to the problems some useless Nigerians are already creating here. Thanks

You where making sense till you are advising him to stay back home,he can decide to go anywhere he likes .

Who told you he will come there to cause problem ?

Who told you he will be like the useless Nigerians over there ? We have so many genuine Nigerians ,what are you feeling like by talking down on someone ?

Stop addressing people in such way .

Well, i totally agree with what he wrote. Some people have a sense of entitlement. South Africa is a sovereign nation. They get to decide WHO enters their country and HOW you enter their country. Entering their country is NOT a right, it is a privilege. YES..... it is sometimes irritating how they handle visa procedure and processing but that is totally their discretion. You dont like how they handle their business, DONT apply for their visa. It is that simple. I have submitted my passport for visa renewal for the past 7 weeks. I have 5 previous visas and if approved, this will be my 6th SA visa. Their form stated 6 business days to process your visa but before you submit your application, those VFS guys will make you attest that your application might take more than 6days and the moment you write and sign that statement, you are at their mercy. A lot of people are illiterates when it comes to things like this. They just write and sign what they are told to without really understanding what it means. LOL

BTW, i am pulling my passport if i dont hear from them in the next 1 week..

It was your desperation that got you the help that approved your visa and released your passport. After many Months.
