Reason is that 4 countries, US, China, India & Japan consume more oil than rest of world combined. Even if they are 30% successful in their task, countries dependent upon oil will land in great crisus.

Another example would be Bangladesh vs India. India is dependent upon wide range of services and products for its economy while Bangladesh is on textiles. In short term, Bangladesh even pegged better growth than India. But on 20 years average, India has been and is projected to remain better as it is immune to economic recession one particular sector.

Now, in context of industrialization and mass production, bigger countries have advantage to produce in multiple sectors in bigger number.

I think this year deficit is down (difference btw revenues & budget - which is bridged by borrowing). Personally I think gov should reduce borrowing but NOT REDUCE budget. They need to privatize and get money by selling shares in companies like Safaricom, National Oil, Kenya Pipeline, Kenya Ports Authority, Kenya Railway, Kengen (more shares). This will not only get treasury money - but will further inject private sector efficiency in there - and reduce corruption

Idk if that's the best solution. I'm not dogmatic but thise are strategic parastatals the govt wouldn't want to let go of completely.
As I suggested earlier the Ghana option,a massive 50 or 100bn USD bond repayable after a century would, IMO be best. Idk how far GH has gone with the idea floated last year but it makes sense.
Borrow enough to ensure ALL your infrastructure needs are met once and for all without squeezing your revenues with short term loans. The new airports,harbours and roads will act as GDP growth enablers allowing a repayment of even 100 or 150% interest after a century-worthwhile and doable.
By then our GDP per capita should easily be at Swedish or even Swiss levels.

Man! Never have I felt so little! But when it comes to BPO and those online jobs. Kenyan youths are much on top. I know folks who rake in 1000 dollars and plus that from such works in a month or even weeks.

Many University students engage in a side hustle. Money will always be important. If you are broke , you'll end up like the one Kenyan guy here in this thread who lost his girlfriend to City's bigwigs when he was studying at the University of Nairobi.
