I still do not understand why someone will open his mouth and say he is doing the Igbos a favor by allowing them to strive in their land. I was born and brought-up in Enugu, spent most of my growing up days in Asata Enugu, I will state that up till date some of the Councillors in Artisan ward are Hausas, reason being that the number of eligible hausa voting population is more than the Igbos there. I never for once see the Igbos in Asata attacking the Hausa community or stopping them from exercising their voting right. That is the beauty of democracy. In some of this countries in the West, their leaders when you trace the origin are not 100% aborigine. The same tribe that will travel to Europe and America, naturalize, the next thing is to start enjoying all the benefits of the country's citizens including voting and being voted for, will come to Nigeria and say an Igbo man that pays his tax to the authorities has done wrong by voting for a party or candidate he believes will take care of his interest. They cry fowl when the same Igbo population they collect so much money from in taxes aspire to be voted for in a land they are citizen by birth and contribute to. I do not have anything to do with Ipob just like some people from Yoruba nation do not align with OPC. This Igbo did this , Igbo did that need to stop. I have said this on different fora, the day Nigeria will be realise the Igbo population is the day they will do a reliable census with a slot for tribe. Igbos are the second largest ethnic group after the indigenous tribe, sample this from Calabar to Gombe , Ankpa ,Funtua ,Jigawa , Daura, Auchi ,Ibadan , Ogbomohso , Nembe, Bonny etc, any city you can think of, this ethnic group that believes in the spirit of oneness by investing in their host nation need some level of respect from this country called Nigeria. If you have a relative in the South-East who is not an Igbo by origin, get first hand information how Igbos treat strangers, Igbos are very hospitable to strangers. You have not travelled to Igbo land before, you have not gone to buy land in the East and someone deny selling because you are not Igbo, why spread false information on what you don't know. That you do not want to invest in south-east should not translate to Igbos not selling land to non-Igbos. Please get your facts right. We youths should be more concerned about the quality of who leads us not from where the person is from. The beauty of democracy is that our leaders are supposed to serve us not the other way round. Let us shun all this unwarranted tribal hateful comment on social media, it is an ill wind that will do no-one any good. 9 Likes |

months: They hope to achieve low voter turn out and at the same time divide the voters by making it look like a Yoruba against Igbo matter. The plot is so clear and it should be ignored. For progress Lagos need a breadth of fresh air. The present managers have got to the end of their innovativeness. They can add no more and retrogression will set in. This is therefore time to inject fresh ideas to build on the present structure. |

olas24u: Based on what statistics? And yet you write like this? You can't even spell Literacy See the use of your punctuation marks You're just being sentimental an average Yoruba person male is a street tout while the female gets knocked up before 19yrs of age. And you talk about education. If you're the product of Education in the west then I'm happy because you're no Match for the worst from the East. 1 Like |

olas24u: You forget that we live amongst you and know all your "koros" just as well as you do. I will NEVER be intimidated by noise makers. I have sewn too many times the lazy cowards have been beaten in this Lagos when the real fight comes. Stop threatening your fellow indigenes. We live with you, work with you and many of us are intermarried. It is APC that is fuelling this tribal nonsense in this country. All tribes have lived peacefully after the civil war. I just know that Igbos and other tribes will not sit back while you are killing their people in the name of politics. Just keep at it and see. 1 Like 1 Share |
