Heard Ibadan is peaceful and Serene. Would like to visit someday

quite sad but I know people there would have adjusted to the lifestyle of no power supply. But as long as the 6pm - 6am is constant everyday, I think it's fair enough. Besides there are places in the city that don't see light in 2 or 3days.Anyone not okay with their schedule can supplement with inverter or generator.

Opobo town is the first town to be surveyed in west Africa, the first port town in nigeria, u see houses especially upstairs that v lasted for over 300ears, the people are most educated and enlightened in the niger delta and one of the most educated groups ion nigeria. In most island communities, the government have not brought in the national grid due to the topography so the rather use heavy generators and turbines to power the towns, the whole community is electrified but yet to join the national grid. Mostly the street lights are on every night and 3-4 days a week,the town enjoys steady light from the heavy gas turbin stations. In bonny it's same thing,bonny is not connected to the national grid but uses gas turbine and generators.
Opobo Town is the most ancient and developed beautiful island in nigeria.want to visit? Road trip is coming

This is so lame and silly! Tradition that keep people in bondage and slavery.

I was even hoping to read how successful the people there are and how developed the place is, only to read they do not have electricity. I am sure they also lack many other amenities too.


Idea passed on by one archaic man due to personal experience and feels that continues to trend even in this century.


They don't make noise at night but they use generator sets at night.....lols

The most disturbing noise at night is noise from those aging gens.
