Sounds a lot like doubt but in "doubt" it was a nun. Powerful movie

Another thing I hate about Tyler Perry and other "black" movies is the nonsense that they sell to black women.

The "good guy" or "heartthrob" is usually a big, strong-faced black guy. Very one dimensional.

In mainstream Hollywood that is mostly marketed to whites, there is variety- sometimes the skinny guy or a geek or a just an average guy is the good guy. See Elijah Wood, Toby McGuire, Edward Norton etc.


Black women deserve better. Maybe this is why many black women are attracted to the big muscular thug look. grin. I call it the "Tyrone look"

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

It was good but a downgrade from the first movie. The best thing about the movie is Johnny Depp who delivers as Grindelwald. Depp made it easy to see why even good-natured wizards would be seduced by Grindelwald's message.
Nagini was effectively useless. Can't point out anyway she added to the plot. She was just there. Maybe she'll have a significant part to play in the next entry.
Jude Law plays Dumbledore well. It's easy to see the old headmaster that'll tutor Harry in later years, while watching him.
And why the hell is Flamel brittle? You'd think the elixir of immortality would at least keep the dude agile and healthy.
Also what was the point of the Leta Lestrange arc?
This can't hold a candle plotwise to the prequel. But the detailed magical world makes up for it.

Tyler Perry will always be a low class producer/director. The film had a nice story to it but Tyler Perry just has no creativity in structuring an interesting plot.

His films are always predictable. The guy has no imagination.

The film has good actors and a lovely story. Tyler Perry just has to spoil it with his Nollywood direction.


Black people deserve better than this. I say this with all honesty: any black person that is a fan of Tyler Perry is a mental slave.
Spoke Lee once described Tyler Perry's movies as Coonery Buffoonery .I completely agree with him

Thanks for instant family.

Mark Wahlberg is really good. I admire how he can go from action to comedy and be convincing in both roles. He made me laugh. Rose Byrne was a comedic relief.

This movie was straight forward predictable but still very worth the time and data.

7.5 /10.


Also watched creed 2 which was basically rocky 4 with Adonis acting as creed and rocky.

The family theme was strong and Stallone put up a solid performance. I really enjoyed it. 8.5/10.

Next up Alita if its clear. Got it from the link above.


Modified: alita is clear and watchable. Hdtc. didnt knowing could be like this. Brb with comments. My expectations are high for this one.

Not sure if I’ve even watched a Tyler Perry movie lol. Don’t most movies usually typecast those kinds of guys as the ‘heartthrob’, dunno if it’s jidt a Tyler Perry movie thing cheesy

Yeah I like guys built like Anthony, but not only lol. That I like apples does not mean I don’t like oranges lol

A wise man once said....
Don't let your expectations about any movie be high oo...else..you'll keep on looking for something while watching the movie, maybe an anomaly... Or an Anomaly inside an anomaly cheesy whatever that means...probably a major turn up....... You'll end up watching the movie while looking for something which in the actual sense is not there...hence you'll loose that thrill which ought to tickle your fancy

well you know ratings can be misleading, Lady bird has a 7.4/10 and 99% rating but the movie is a hot mess.
