Guys I want to use my TOEFL results to apply. Now I know I have to ask ETS to forward my results to uniassist but for the meantime can I certify the PDF printout and send to them as proof??
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by mikkypel(m): 11:52am On Mar 04, 2019
Good day everyone

I have started the application for Bsc Molecular Ecosystem Science in University of Gottinghen i have gotten to the stage where I have to upload some certificates

It looks confusing, i saw four documents to be uploaded.

1) University qualifications

2) Language certificate confirming German language proficiency

3) Statutory declaration

4) Parental declaration if below 18

No 2 and 4 is confusing, the reason why it is confusing is I hold a language proficiency in English and not Germny. I chose this particular course because they are taught in English

Can I skip it or should I upload the language proficiency in English?

Additionally, I am above 18, should I skip the parental declaration part also?

I will be waiting for answers as I pass through this stage

Thanks for your usual cooperation
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Fabcol(m): 12:00pm On Mar 04, 2019
Skip 4 since u are above 18...

If u are sure the course is taught totally in English and no German language proof is required.. Then skip

Can any of you guys already in Germany suggest environmental engineering schools that don't need Uniassist to gain admission? Man is really trying to cut cost wherever possible

If you can't find them from daad, extend your search to mastersportal, or just search out on Google. I'm sure you'll get one..
You can also extend your search to related courses.

My people join me glorify God for his goodness and mercies and saving my life, my father, the keke driver and his passenger from a serious accident, making sure no one was injured. Imagine if someone died or was seriously injured and to think I was the driver of the Mercedes. Me planning to travel out on the 1st of April, I would have been in deep trouble. Let us all hold on to God, anything can happen at any time. Praise be to God Almighty in Jesus name, amen.

From the little I know and the information you gave here, you will be applying for a Schenge visa. The short duration one(probably max 3mths) since what you are going for is a 3-day conference. The requirements will certainly require the documents that prove you are going for that conference, health insurance for that period, ticket reservation, etc
About a ticket to Dresden, it might not be easy to answer that question except I say that general airline tickets are cheaper on some airlines compared to others to same destination. Example: a Turkish airline ticket to any location in Germany from here is generally cheaper compared to say a Lufthansa. Also an Ethiopian ticket will generally be cheaper to an Air France ticket. I will advise you check up some popular travel ticket sites and probably put in your desired desired departure and arrival points, that can give u an idea of average cost from various airlines.

Thanks alot sir, please by ticket reservation do you hotel reservation or flight ticket reservation? If flight ticket reservation does it mean that I'm supposed to book and pay for my flight before applying for Visa?
Secondly How do I go about Health Insurance and how much will it cost?
Again the organizers of the conference will be paying for my hotel accommodation, do I tell them to indicate it in the Visa letter they will send to me?
Thanks again in Anticipation.

Deustchemann:

Definitely. The application cost is for Uni-assist alone. It's used to process your application.
It's left to you to use any mode of courier to send certified copies of your documents to them. If you like use NIPOST, DHL, FedEx, EMS or UPS. Just make sure it gets to them on or before the deadline

But I can send certified hard copies for application to 3 different schools and courses through one courier post to Uniassist?

what you said is true, but how many of them. An English speaking student applied for internship to about 200 companies and got just 2 interview invitation in English language. So if you want to work so hard for so little opportunities, dont learn it. Germans would employ Ausbildung/ Bachelors grad who speaks German over masters grad that does not plus your C++ and MATLAB

devmantic:

Having a good knowledge of the German language prior to graduation is important although most international companies in Germany (e.g. Siemens, BASF, German Aerospace Centre [DLR] etc.) are more than willing to hire young foreign graduates who speak English and have limited German language skill upon graduation. On the long run, one is expected to learn German over time if he/she wants to work and live in Germany. The main challenge in landing a job after studies is skill-related. Imagine having a skill that is on-demand yet rare to find (e.g. programming with Python, C++, Java or being a specialist in MATLAB, AutoCAD, PDMS etc.), everytime you submit a CV, I can guarantee you that you will be given an opportunity for an interview in English. So my advice to those coming to study in Germany will be to focus on STEM-related courses and DO ALL YOU CAN to master a software skill (either in Nigeria or in Germany via internships or HiWis). I hope this was helpful.

Hello guys. So I think I might have an issue. My prepaid courier was wrongly addressed to the embassy instead of back to me and I have already submitted the envelope and gotten my AM. Please how do I sort this out. I used FedEx by the way

You kind of missed the point where he said Skill is the determining factor. up to 95% of those I know that got internships and Jobs(after studies) speak near zero German. Loads of companies will employ skilled people without German knowledge and pay for them to learn the language on the job.

So this statement Germans would employ Ausbildung/ Bachelors grad who speaks German over masters grad that does not plus your C++ and MATLAB is absolutely incorrect.

Of course this is not saying Forget the Language, I am just saying that most companies here employ skill over language, especially in STEM.

PS: I've Been following on and off from Part 4.

Using my own shortlist as reference based on the courses I'm applying for
1. Uni-Bremen
2. Saarland Univ
3. University of Bonn
4. Hoschule Bonn-Rein-Sieg
5. Uni Göttingen
5. RU-Bochum
6. Uni-Siegen
7. Uni- Bayreuth
8. JMU-wurzburg
9. Kiel University

Check if these schools have your course .. it's "most" likely they'll use "online only" application.
