Good day everyone, Please I need advice on the issue below:
when my Hubby and 2 kids obtained their US visa last year (I had a valid visa), they informed the VO that the kids were going on a vacation to Disney World. we couldn't make the trip last year and are planning for it this year however, we just discovered that the cost of ticket to Orlando is too expensive (N2.5million) and are considering the possibility of taking them to another state (ticket to LA or Newyork or Washington DC costs N1.3m). However, We are not sure if this change would cause any issue at the POE. Please advice. Thank you.

CA - Anaheim, LA too fits perfectly, than the other options methinks. No ish all the same sha!

Skyscanner will link you with Airlines or Travel Agent... it's left for you to decide if you wanna trust those site.

Have you gone to the airline website to confirm the journey and price. If its the same or just about, then pay through the airline website instead of the travel agency.

Unless the discrepancy of the price is much just avoid them as rescheduling and other changes that you may wish to do after the tickets have been bought might not be smooth as dealing with the airline direct.

I doubt your money will go down the drain however if you use them, as they are notable in the business for a while now.

Have you followed this “really good prices” reservation to the end and saw the prices remained really good? Don’t mistakenly fall for a one way ticket instead of a return ticket....

Hello Everyone, I have read this forum from start to finish and it is very insightful.

My question is, I applied for a US visa for the first time ever and I was granted last year to go to New York on Holiday. However, I wasn't able to make it last year. I am now going sometime in May for training in Texas which my company is sending me for. I will also add some days after the training for sightseeing. I intend to stay for 15days. So the purpose is now for holiday and training.

Do you think I will have any issues at the POE? Considering that I changed the destination and purpose of visit.

I don't think so.... But holiday and training sounds good, and being the first time you are using this visa that was issued to you on B2 grounds, why not enter from NY stating this (holiday and training)? Spend a few days there on holiday, then proceed to TX for the training and continuation of your holiday.

It shouldn't be an issue. Please ensure your point of entry is Texas or if connecting make sure your flight terminates in Texas.

Disregard this o. Focus on your training that's the primary goal for the trip. The holiday should be days after the training.

Hope you know sha, that a B2 visa can be differentiated from a B1 visa by the CBP for a first time traveler to the US, especially one that didn’t use the visa for its exact purpose at the indicated period, now wanting to use it for another purpose to a different location too? Would it not be better to have this all covered in an indisputable manner?

It can even come cheap if not cheaper....

You're wrong... stop passing false info, B1 is different from B1/B2

You have to use a Business visa for business purposes before using it for tourism purpose while a tourist visa (B1/B2) can be used for tourism as well as business visa but remember if it's not for Business, it's not a business visa.

Thank you for this. But please remember that the Visa was given for Holiday to Newyork, not Texas. At the time the Visa was given, I didn't know I was going to attend the training in Texas. I have read about how people were turned back because of the change in destination from what was indicated in the Ds160 form. Does it matter? This will be my first time in the US.

Don't allow anyone to misled you, fly to New York spend a day or 2 before flying to Texas.

He didn't indicate it was B1. Or I didn't see it.

221 G interview dilemma

So I have an 11 year travel history to the US and I was invited for a 221g interview and my interview date is today. But my dad's bank statement which was to arrive yesterday from PHC. I live in Abuja. The dhl delivery was rescheduled last minute. I am thinking of missing my appointment and rescheduling for a later date... when the bank statement has been delivered. What do you think?

No one will check your bank statement unless you used U.S medical service.

If at all there will be need for it, let them know the situation and ask to be allowed to send it to them through their appropriate DHL channel....

Thanks decided to go for the interview.
Brief Background- got my first us visa 11 years ago. Since then I have had 4 us visas, including an f1 visa to do a masters (an ivy league uni) came back immediately after the end of my program. no opt, no overstay.

Was also a student in the UK from 15-21. and I have a 14 year travel history in the UK

Observations - they were loads of people today. I got there at 9:30 and I was number 900. Only 5 people were given the white slip. So many tears and the tension was palpable.

Mine was a 221g because i was not entitled to dropbox because my last visa was issued in the uk.

VO: Passport
Me: hands in passport
VO: how many kids do you have?
Me: shocked I don't have any kids not even married.
VO: where do you work?
Me: I am currently doing my legal training at the NigeriaN law school to enable me practice law here..
VO: How long do you intend to stay in the us
Me: 2 weeks
VO: When does your program end at the law school?
Me- Nov
Vo: why do you want to travel?
Me: vacation to celebrate end of law school exams and shop
Vo: how many siblings?
Me: 3 - 1 here, 2 in the Uk
VO: what area of law do you want to practice in?
Me: blah blah tied it back to the llm i did in the Us
Vo: after law school, what next
Me: get a job and reap all the investments i made paying fees in the us and uk
Vo: visa approved
took the white paper and left

Overheard a Vo ask a guy repeatedly why he chose a certain school and brother couldn't say jack? like for real!
Overheard a man tell the VO his wife has a successful legal practice and yet they were still turned down...

Wow! I am just glad this is over...
be honest, be truthful and please get travel history from a country like the UK.. for at least 2 years before going to the us. They know we have a lot of ties to the uk. so that should be your first travel experience logically!
