I dont Understand why these people still went ahead to vote for people who couldn't protect them.. People who dont give a damn about their lives.. The other day i was in a commercial vehicle going out of Kaduna State and this Zamfara issue was been discuss by some co passengers. They all alluded to the fact that the situation is very bad. That the media is downplaying the gravity and level of destruction (Human, animal and property) going on in Zamfara. They said the leaders of this terrorists group collect 50- 100k from the fulani herdsmen to make them immune from any attack.. And failure of anyone of them to pay will result to death and destruction we hear and see time to time.

Federal government controls the army, police and all other security agencies. Even state governors are at the mercy of the FG with respect to their personal security. I'm sure you've heard of times in the past when the security details of governors were removed based on "orders from above".

I have already written explicitly on this in my subsequent post. You can read on the thread. As for the emboldened part of your post, such never happened. Every Governor has an immunity until his tenure ends. I hope you ain't one of those folk that feeds on propaganda without bothering to find out the real truth. Just like how Adeleke and Peter Obi account was claimed to have been freezed by the FG, only to find out it was all lie.

you are mad, who sent the Muslims jihadist to go on killing spree, it is obvious the fulani herdsmen did it but they keep labeling them bandit.
Let them enjoy their next level. i pity the hausas who are larger in size to the Fulanis but yet are slaves to them.

Fact is the police won't work without incentives from the governors. Their salaries are payed by the federal government and as such are answerable to thy federal government alone. They ain't suffer heads that could be deployed anywhere by any governor except they are payed.

This same herdsmen issue happened in Ondo state recently but Akeredolu was quick to nick it at the bud. He formed vigilante group to work with the police who were also funded. A fora was formed which had the presence of the vigilante men, police and even the Miyetti Allah leaders included and they were able to decide ways to curb the mess and arrest the culprits which they did eventually. But I tell you this issue wouldn't have been easily tackled without enough funding from the state government. Had it been our state governor had waited on/cry to the FG to help, it would have amounted to nothing except to cause more uproar and sentiment from various sides.

That's why Ortom should be blamed for this, not Buhari. Ortom and his likes are just Useless.
And you think, the culprits apprehended are still in police custody? sorry sir, they uses federal might to come out sweetly and easily.

have you ever sat down to wonder why this fed govt don't even regards these guys as terrorist?

have you ever wonder why the govt always stay mute, when it comes to BH, herdsmen etc. Let 10 pple die in Ghana and see how our CiC will send a quick condolence even b4 they give up.

And I tell you, the more our govt stay mute on issues like this the more stronger these terrorist becomes

Anyway we are here already, we hv no other country to call our own, let's keep praying for a better tomorrow.

That's the problem with you guys. Always feeding on lies and your fears. Whether these fulani men were later released or not, what's important is there is now peace in the state. If Ortom had done such at the beginning, there wouldn't be so much death in Benue today. Fact is Ortom doesn't care about the welfare of the people in the state. A governor who has failed to pay workers salaries for years definitely doesn't have the people at heart.

Come to think of it, these fulani miscreants are no different from the miscreants in SS that kidnapps and kill. They are not different from the bandits in the North that kill their fellow Fulanis to steal their properties like we have in Zamfara. They are basically miscreants that need to be curtailed by the state government but people like yourself always make up bullshit just to induce fear into people's mind Abeg, let's do better.

I didn't read it at first but thank God I did. The withdrawal happened close to Anambra governorship election which emphasized my point on the end of one's tenure.

Even when Fayose was misbehaving and was cursing Buhari daily, his security personnel were never withdrawn.

My point is that governors can still be helpless when it comes to security. They can't single handedly cause the deployment of security agents to quell tensions in their states just like they can't even be very sure of their own security all thru their tenure. Putting the whole responsibility of security of their states on them is simply unfair.

And I'm telling you it's a lie. As long as he's still the governor, he has all the security with him. Did you realise Fayose also dealt with these fulani miscreants using government securities? If Fayose who's a trouble maker and a PDP member who was always on Buhari's neck could tackle herdsmen issue easily, I don't see why Ortom couldn't. Ortom was just looking for ways to whip out sentiment to cover up his poor governance in the state.

How many Fulani herdsmen are in Ekiti? Herdsmen menace has never been a real issue in the South West the way it has been in the Middle Belt. Moreover, Yorubas are a large and important ethnic group and I'm sure the Fulanis won't want a tension with Yorubas. Benue on the other hand has been the hotbed of Fulani herdsmen murderous activities for several years (or even decades) now. Benue's issue preceeded Ortom and will likely outlive him, just that it seems it got a little worse at some point under him.

What did Fayose do that Ortom didn't do more? Fayose banned cattle grazing. Wasn't Ortom the first governor to do that? Nobody threatened Fayose after doing it, but we read how Miyetti Allah warned that there would be more killings if Benue HoA didn't reverse that law, and truly, they went on killing spree thereafter. Was that Ortom's fault? Benue even set up Livestock Guard which was like a vigilante, but did it help it?

Have you not read how Fulanis lay claim to Benue land, saying it was traditionally part of their Emirates and vowing they will maintain their right to it? How many times have you heard or read that they claimed any inch of South West land?
Abeg, don't even try comparing Fayose and Ortom. The circumstances are just incomparable.

Fayose may have banned open cattle grazing but it gave them allowance at the outskirts of the state. In fact, he had dialogue with the herdsmen leaders and they eventually came to reason together.

Fact is Ortom didn't want to spend any money. We are talking of a governor who couldn't pay his people salaries for years. How much more when he would need to pay the hired vigilante group and even the police men? Abeg.

Is it fulani herdsmen that have been stopping Ortom from paying his workers salaries? Abeg. One thing I know is Ortom is entirely Useless.

And somebody wants some peace enjoying igbos to sell land to people known for killing pregnant woman tearing her stomach and killing an unborn child.

.

The Yorubas make it look like the igbos hate the fulanis and Hausas and yet a lot of hausa Fulani are even in my village doing their businesses. Yet the Yorubas will not sell lands to them herdsmen
