i will prefer he moves to toulouse or nice, schalke is a top bundesliga team and the pressure to deliver immediately may be too much for him to handle. awo will bang in goals for fun in the french ligue !

Sometime one has to take a step or two backward to be able to leap to the highest point. Most people saw this guy as a failure the moment he left Gent for lowly Mouscron. A certain komekn started mocking him that he will never be good enough for Liverpool or a championship club, bkus, to him, Solanke was a god. Today, who is the most rated and sort after? Most interesting thing about this news is that the said clubs aint just registering interests buh are making approaches. Remember the kinda clubs(middlesborough, Shifield Wednesday, Norwich, moribund Huddersfield) that fought for Solanke's siggy bfor he finally went to Bournemouth feeder team. Compare those clubs to what are queuing up to have Awo my boy.

The thing is, capital investment in Sports/match coverage and production(especially Live) is way above most media houses in Nigeria. Except Amateur videography doesn't put you off like me grin

One idea I have been nursing for a while is this;
Since NTA owns half of the Startimes franchise, how about pulling the weight of government (Ministry of Sports) to birth a deal where Startimes(Chinese half) raises funds for refurbishment of a channel, say NTA Sports 24 for coverage and production. It would first be test run for 2 seasons and would cover selected games live (say 3 per week) and host talk shows & highlights.

In the short term the league on screen (especially the matches that generate interest), thus forcing/encouraging sponsors/advertisers to approach since their brand can get to more eyes.
After the test run and positive feedbacks, its expected/hoped that Startimes/NTA would have brought Nigerians attention to their decoders riding on the league- short/medium term
As sales(of Decoders) increase they can then become TV(money) sponsors of the league and even Cup and the only way from there is up!

This is just a rough sketch of my idea, in the short term the clubs/league may only get interest(Which can increase ticket sales) and spotlight but in the long run the league,Channel & the decoder will profit big! Who knows it could run into other sports e.g Basketball, Athletics( All the National senior & youth games) etc..

Hindrance; Bureaucracy in Ministry (codename Dalung!), zero foresight

Don't depend on NTA for anything my guy.

As long as that station remains under the belt of the Nigerian govt, nothing good can come out of it.. We haven't heard anything after the so called deal they signed with the lmc last year.. NTA will rather broadcast political rallies for us..

The best the NFF can do is to renegotiate with supersport!

Rotherham United defender Semi Ajayi has retained his position in the English Sky Bet Championship Team of the Week for matchday 35.
The 25-year-old was included in the English Sky Bet Championship Team of the Week for the previous week.

Semi was included among the best players in the previous week after he scored against Reading.

The Nigeria International has been in good form in recent weeks which has earned him a call up by Gernot Rohr for the upcoming Super Eagles games against Seychelles in a final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier and an international friendly against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

Semi was again the hero for Rotherham United as they beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2 as they continued their battle to avoid the relegation.

Semi who is a defender has been utilised in midfield by Millers boss Paul Warne which has led to him producing goals more regularly.

The Nigerian scored two goals including the winner as his Rotherham United won in front of their home supporters.

For his outstanding performance, Semi has been rewarded with a place in the Team of the Week for the second week.

A statement on the EFL website confirmed the inclusion of Semi in the Team of the Week, which said, “The big centre-back netted two goals as Rotherham picked up three massive points in their hunt for survival. Ajayi set the tone for a 3-2 victory over Blackburn by scoring after just two minutes.”

Semi was joined in defence by Scott Wharton of Bury, Luke Woolfenden of Swindon Town and Stoke City’s Tom Edwards.

Semi is expected to return to action when Rotherham United take on Sheffield United in their next league game scheduled for Saturday, March 9.

There is no good news from Torino regarding the availability of Ola Aina for the upcoming international fixtures against Seychelles and Egypt.

The wing-back was withdrawn from the Torino squad against Chievo Verona on Sunday after suffering an injury during the pre-match warm-up.

The Maroons reported on the official website on Tuesday that Aina did not take part in today's training session because of a problem of the abdominal rectum and he is being evaluated by team doctors.

The defender's expected return date is not known at this time but he's doubtful for Sunday's trip to Frosinone.

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr named three fullbacks in the shape of Aina, Abdullahi Shehu and Jamilu Collins in the latest squad list announced on Monday and it remains to be seen if a replacement will be called up in the event the Chelsea loanee does not recover from his ailment in the coming days.

There are also concerns over the fitness of central defender Leon Balogun who is recovering from a shoulder injury.

Supersport has openly said the investment in NPFL is no way yielding benefits for them as it has not increased the patronage of Multichoice decoders (Remember same company owns the Decoder and the channel). Supersport would rather show Zambian matches (dear God! undecided)
Am of the idea that no one will/can do better for you/us except yourself/ourselves. I know of NTA's shortcomings but that they are sewn to government apron is actually a blessing depending on how you look at it. The ball is in LMC's court to cajole, strong arm, politick the Government/Ministry to get what they want.

I would bet on StarTimes/NTA collabo right now (Look at Startimes deal with Ghana premier League).

Are you sure Milan will still come for osimhen ?

Osimhen isnt short of suitors, bar the two Milan clubs. He even has more attractive suitors than Awoniyi. Osimhen is a sure banker for a top club in any of the top five leagues, come summer.

The least they should do is put the matches on YouTube live or not. They are just being lazy and people are losing interest in our football by the second.

I can't blame supersport sha...The cost of broadcasting a game in Nigeria is quite high compared to other African countries (power, security)... But still I can't trust NTA.. What happened to the deal they made with the lmc last year?
Didn't they say it would last for long. This is the second year of d deal now and npfl games are no more on TV..
It might b that NTA diverted funds meant to broadcast the games to show those stupid political rallies..

Mehn I don't want no parts of that NTA broadcast. They didn't even put time up and for the commentator to get a single player right was like winning the lottery.

Maybe a bad tactician, but when it comes to player management, Gernot Rohr's abilities are almost unparalleled on the continent.

True, that's why I said we run with half-coverage (not all teams deserve eyeballs right now

Joachim is a great coach who have been confused recently

He should be sacked

He didn't take Sandro Wagner to the World Cup and Leroy sane which was pure bias and cheating

According to the fool Jerome boating and hummels international career is over but German Division 2 average jones hector is one of the first name on his list

Confused and bias coach
