It's not doom saying.. they are worried because a mass migration of 200m people would cause a global problem...

They are the investors, they are the countries that migrants would flock to. They are only being logical.

when you understand the west, you would know that they dint use logic but language politics and reverse psychology. if they are genuinely interested in our welfare then why would they allow a tyrant whose policies could spark mass migration to still be in power, and the only thing they can do is write about it. Abeg leave those people

He had 4 years to do that, he didn't. Now you want him to do that in the remianing 4 years. That will be unbelievable.
In the 4 years, actual governance did not happen for more than 2 and a half years. The first 6 months was used to appoint cabinet members. The following one year was used to review old contracts and sign new ones. The following 6 months to a year was used to haggle with national assembly over budget approvals. Work did not actually start on projects until the last one year of the administration.
Hopefully, the next 4 years will be a huge departure from the last.

They have started with their doom saying again. They talked about this 4 years ago, and they were proved wrong. At least we were able to survive and manage it well. This would have happened assuming ND avengers keep causing havoc but it was also well managed. The structures of Nigeria and Venezuela are different. venezuela is under sanction, nigeria, no. Venezuela has post unrest situations, not in nigeria, there is fractional supports of opposition government from surrounding countries including america but in nigeria, no opposition or parallel government as at now, and everyone has moved on except atiku and pdp that likely go to court. The structures on ground are not the same.

Yes, poor economic policies by buhari led government may allow some foreign investors to be skeptical about investing in nigeria but is not as bad as they foresee. The main problem is that many free and stolen money that many advanced countries like UK see from Nigerian government in the past has drastically reduced. They depend on those money to grow their own economy and now no free corrupt money while the one they are protecting are been put under pressure to be recovered. They should face their brexit wahala and leave us alone until things stabilize.

Any body, locally, that says anything against the Dullard-in-chief is a treasury looter. If the critic is international, he is termed a receiver of loots. It is amazing how a single individual will continue on the path of failure and blame everybody but himself for the consequences of his policies.
Keep doing a good hatchet job watering down this predictions of our impending doom. Thankfully when it happens, we shall all still buy from the same market.

Facts on the ground don't support this nonsense.

We have already dodged the bullet, first by kicking out the Ineffectual Buffoon and the second time by rejecting the Atikulooter.

Just two day ago we were announced as the largest producer of rice in Africa. A week earlier we were announced as the largest performing economy in Africa.

Nigeria is on to the NEXT LEVEL of prosperity and development.

If i was brainless, i would av thot GEJ invented BVN, & by the way 20m lost there jobs but no member of ur family was affected , its funny how people that tell us 30 ,40million lose there jobs but cannt make reference to 5people they know that job there jobs.

You seem to believe the lies of Nigeria being the largest producer of rice. If that was the whole truth,
1. Nigeria will also be among the largest exporter of rice
2. The price of rice would have gone down
3. The poverty rate would have reduced or at least we'll be getting to know rice farmers who are billionaires
4. We should know by now how many millions of hectares of land we are using for rice cultivation.

The four above would be concrete evidences not just empty statements.

Peace
You got it wrong. The fact that we outpace Egypt does not mean we are selfsuficient in rice production. But if we continue with that pace then we can get to the level where the prices fall and .... However, the Country is in that direction.

The UK is closer to being another Venezuela than Nigeria.

The election is over, Atiku has been destroyed, they can stop campaigning for him now.

Nigeria is not going to be Venezuela

1.Goverment here does not subsidze everything.

2.Our savings are at 40bn USD. Venezuela is down to its last 10bn.

3.We don't print money to solve economic issues.

4.We actually still manufacture stuff we consume here. Things like toilet roll, soap, some processed food, etc. Venezuela imports everything.

5.We. actually removed fuel subsidies when it was sustainable. Venezuela until recently subsidized fuel as low as 45 naira. At the expense of its forex.

6.Venezuela took over all its private companies. Nigeria? No way. We even sold off government shares in most private companies over the last 3 decades.

7.Nigeria has a more diversified economy than Venezuela.

Where Nigeria can become like Venezuela

1.Subsidies are still in place. This is costing us jobs in the oil sector as well as investment.

2.Power is worse than in Venezuela due to lack of deregulation. Discos are charging for power at a price lower than the cost of production. You see why we don't have light.

3.Corruption is still a problem, despite Buhari being there.

4.Bloated civil service, bloated National Assembly

5.Our education system is severely underfunded. Made worse by the fact that fees are too low to make up funding gaps.

6.Insecurity.Just as bad as Venezuela

Was it my fault or Nigerian peoples fault that he did not appoint cabinet members at the right time or that he only spent 2 years governing Nigeria, like you assumed.

The truth is that he has nothing to offer us,he has never managed a successful business, he is not sound accademically or intellectually. He can not see through critical improvement but sees poverty as the acceptable way of life.

Efforts against corruption should not translate to poverty and grounding of the economy. Today, cost of doing business in Nigeria is extraordinary, businesses are folding-up, economy is harsh, middle-class is eliminated in the economy. Yet, PMB sees that as positive governance. I can only inagine how dificult the next 4 years will be for a lot of Nigerians

Distribution and generation were sold to the Discos and Gencos. Transmission remains in the hands of government (largely for national security purposes).

The reason why things have not imporved is that Discos are selling power below it's production cost thanks to a clause in the law.governing the power privatization. Subsequently they cannot buy all the power the Gencos produce.

Gencos too have to buy gas from gas companies in dollars and not naira... Making things worse.

But, Nigerians in Nigeria don't read or use their brains. We like asking a plumber how to fix an electrical fault.

I just realized that that job is going extinct in Nigeria. People now build house without plans for water pipes because no pipe born water.

Back to the topic we all know that buhari is not sound economically. He keeps blaming pdp 16 years of waste. We are looking at him. His will soon be 8 years let's see what they will say then.

Four years is enough to provide pipe born water, four years is enogh to provide stable electricity or atleast see serious progress being made
