How has the annexing of all those positions helped to improve the economic fortunes of the north! It has not stopped the north from retaining the unenviable position of the poverty capital of the country. Those positions just serve the economic interests of the individual occupying those positions. Ask people of Kwara and Bauchi states how Saraki's senate presidency and Dogara's speakership favoured their individual states or regions. Ndigbo cannot be bothered because they control the most important tool, they control the hundreds of thousands of businesses spread all over the country with which they wield enormous economic power.
