You're ignorant of the rules. If the player moves his hand in an attempt to obstruct the ball, it's a handball. But kipembe was backing the ball. What does that tell you?

Whether your hand is wide apart or not, the main issue for handball is, if there is an attempt by the player to obstruct the ball. Kipembe just jumped looking backwards. How did he intend to obstruct the ball when he wasn't looking at the ball?
