isan: I am pissed at Tuchel because he refused to take the advantage when Manchester United opened up in search for a goal. I believe he should have brought in a finisher when Draxler injured. Cavani should have come in from Draxler and the team should have played in a more direct fashion to Bury the game. Well congrats to Manchester United and Solskjaer. |

ChrisKels: Men Porto Ran Roma riot today. It was like they did not want the Roma players to breathe. This is the most intense I have seen Porto play. Even more intense than Villas-Boas Porto. I see the coach, Sergio Conceicao moving to the EPL very soon. |

Lol, you skip that part so that you go diss them, only dider drogba was missing from the 2015 winning squad, even kolo toure was there |

As far as playing personnel is concerned no team in Africa has greater strength in depth than Nigeria. The ability to harness this advantage to devastating effect is perhaps where a problem may arise. Especially if Rohr's last squad announcement is used a basis of predicting what's to come in the near future. The Ivorian golden generation of the late 2000s had the same problem. How a team comprising Drogba, Yaya, Kalou, Kolo, Zokora, Tiote (RIP), Gervino, Eboue, Doumbia, Bony, Romaric, Tiene, etc etc big big names kept under achieving still remains a mystery. 2 Likes |

wayodude: They won the 2015 afcon Where you expecting them to win the World Cup ? Oga sir Ivory Coast get depth pass naija You say rip and you include Gervinho there ?person wey still dey play for Seria A at the age of 31 ,did you watch this old Gervinho against juventus this season ? He has scored 9 Seria A goals from the flank How many of your players can still play at the top at 31 apart from obi mikel ? I am even angry he joined boro, obi mikel will easily join a top 10 Epl club ,thou I know he will not last at boro Emenike is there with no club ,he is enjoying his money ,brown ideye is just flexing the whole Dubai collecting 80k weekly from Tianjin teda without playing ,after the Malaga loan dude was not that serious . Who dey una bench seems we get depth ? |

andrew444: andrew444: Are you sure you can read properly? Did I say RIP to Gervinho or Tiote? andrew444: Was this not the point I was trying to make when I said we may not be able to harness this advantage? CIV had the playing personnel to win the AFCON between 2006 and 2013 and they didn’t. Granted they had a tough draw in World Cup 2006 and 2010 BUT they had the playing personnel to progress from a group with Japan, Greece and Colombia in the 2014 world cup and again they failed. The 2015 AFCON which they won was the only silverware they managed. They were good enough to win much more. Everyone know this but you. Today we have players in the like Ebuehi, Samu, Onyekuru, Onazi, Agu, Awaziem, Agbo, Ajayi, Iyayi, Larry Kayode, Ofoedu, Azubuike, Mikel Obi, Joel Obi, Success, Kelechi, Bazee, Aluko, Eleke, Odey, Simy, Babatunde, Imoh etc etc I can name maybe 100 players that are capped and still active at a good enough level to compete for a shirt for Nigeria. They are not world beaters but decent level players on their day, none of which are in the team and yet the team is still strong. Then there are the 100s of foreign born eligible and willing players which for whatever reason we don’t seem keen to tap into. Guys like Saka, Iyoha, Torunigha, Tomori, Eze, etc etc I have looked at the other teams such as Ghana, CIV and Cameroun and I maintain we have greater strength in depth than any team on the continent. That’s my view anyway. You can disagree. 2 Likes |

wayodude: That tells us that big names alone don't play football. Going into the 2006 AFCON Nigeria had the best assemblage of quality players: Okocha, Kanu, Yakubu, Martins, Osaze, Utaka, Nsofor, Yobo, Odiah, Young Mikel and Taiwo. Yet we only came back with bronze medal. Drogba's generation of Elephants couldn't win the AFCON but a less talented squad won it in 2015 for them. The Nigerian squad that won the AFCON in 2013 was not the best on paper going into that AFCON. Zambia and Cameroon were never tipped as favorites when they won the AFCON in 2012 and 2017 respectively. If you have a rich assemblage of players fantastic but the team still needs to work very hard to achieve results. A merely descent team that is well coached and well managed can win the AFCON. 1 Like 1 Share |

andrew444:e dey pain me because at the end of the day they are all average at best above average players the only reason why I think of the lot only Senegal and Morocco have very good players in Senegal we have Mane and Koulibally who are world class players then Morocco have Ziyech who is very good all the other names are just above average player who have their good and bad form just like our own iwobi 2 Likes |

icon4ss: Thank you for telling him that naija could only take bronze with our biggest stars them just dey put am for only Ivory Coast head ,when we get star players who be Ivory Coast? Na after 2006 Ivory Coast begin get better players ,naija don get star players since 2000 I remember Ghana naija 2000 ,where star studded naija team failed to beat Senegal to make the final No African team came close to that 2006 naija team even the Egypt of this world but wetin dem achieve nothing ,(bronze medal ) Point of correction sir ,a less talented squad didn't win it 2015 ,but a drogba less squad How can you call a squad that include ,tiene,Kalou, doumbia, yaya toure,Kolo toure, bailly, aurier, serie die ,na that one you call less talented squad because no drogba ? Bros abeg fear God |

andrew444: How are Ofoedu's status laughable? What were Ogu's status when he got called up and did well? What are Issac Success stats like? How are Azubuike's stats laughable when he's been in brilliant form since he returned to Turkey following his Egyptian misadventure? Only thing laughable here are your comments with nothing to back yourself up.
