Too late to answer that question but No, culture will not stop a Nigerian from marrying an American.
Only things that can stop a Nigerian man from marrying an American woman depends mostly on the girl.
If she smokes too much, parties a lot, stays out late e.t.c That's not something a Nigerian man would like in a woman.
That American woman will need to be submissive to the man, cook his food e.t.c.
