2006-2015
Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
If the engine oil life is not displayed press the SEL/RESET knob in the instrument panel repeatedly until it is.
Press and hold the SEL/RESET knob in the instrument panel for about 10 seconds or until the maintenance item code(s) begin to blink.

I was concerned when I first noticed but I realized engine wasn't running. Oga Gazzuz, pls do you have an idea of how much a Toks/used lexus IS200(2004) is likely to cost

The Check Engine light on my 08 Camry is P0172.
Just got a Toks MAF and A/F sensors.

Please help on what to do to resolve this issue.

Going by the books you have the following.

Possible causes
Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
Ignition misfiring
Faulty fuel injectors
Exhaust gas leaks
Incorrect fuel pressure
Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

But it might be not be that complex. Let's start with engine size. Is is 4cylinder or V6. Is the p0174 the only code or are there other codes that came with it? Doe engine run smooth?

It's a 4 cylinder 2AZ.
P0172 is the only Code.
The Engine runs smoothly except some form of Vibration (though not too much) on idling.

I don't have difficulty starting at any time.
I have live readings at Idle but what should I check out for?
Though my app does not have fuel pressure option on the list.
I have been checking the airfilter box pipe for leaks but didn't find any.

Tht code indicates ur engine is running too rich( more fuel less air), as gazzuzz stated lots of factors could be th cause, buh I'll advice u start from the easiest; which is cleaning ur MAF sensor. A dirty MAF sensor could give wrong air flow reading causing the system to burn more than the required amount of fuel.

Dr Gazzuzz, thanks for the good services you are providing. Please I repaired my car AC and discovered that my car was doing overheating after about 1hr of driving.
I also noticed the car is hard to start whenever it's hot except I use another battery. However it will start almost immediately if if it's cold. I've been advised to wash my radiator which I'm yet to do.
My electrician said the negative battery terminal needed to be earthed for the car to always start immediately and he did it but I still discovered it hasn't changed anything.

Please what should I do? Thanks

PS. It's a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE (V6), 2GR-FE.

those ford's ehn... they will just send you back to your village. I nearly lost a good client because of ford. Very ajebo sensitive car. Small thing 200k-300k will just blow like that.

Dear Dr. Engr. Saviour Gazzuz,
I am just running into this now. Please I am using a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE. I bought as a Nigerian used. First the AC worked fine but now it shakes when I on the AC but works fine when I am on highway even though the engine works with strains.The engine finally stops when I brake especially in traffic or while doing a turning. Please help me I can hardly survive a car without AC. Thanks in advance for your useful Advise.

NB: I have scanned the car with wrong timing codes but after fixing the timing this problem persists. I have taken it to different mechanics and AC techs but they were all giving conflicting opinions ranging from faculty compressor to incompatible compressor. Please safe my soul.

I noticed my Toyota Camry 2004 XLE consumes no fuel at 3 miles per litre but when I scanned it said faulty O2 sensor front one which I changed but it now consumes 4.5 miles per litre all within city as I have not tried highway. My other problem is that I don't know if the mileage is in Km or Miles but I was told is in miles. A clue on how to know if it is in miles or Km will be appreciated as well. Thanks Dr. Gazzuz

The unexpected happened last night on my way back from elections assignment. Just when I got to the junction of my house, the car jerked a little and stopped running. It was crazy. I was crazy too and looking lost. I had called some Kazeems but they couldn't come.

After over 30mins, I suddenly remembered your advice and called a friend to bring his car and immediately he put his battery, the car started. Before he came, I couldn't even wind up the glass at the driver's side. The dashboard lights were blinking poorly while the clock's light was very dim.

I'll be buying another battery this week. Thanks for the guide sir.

classic signs Alternator failure. you have a faulty charging system. Ensure you check it before buying a new battery

PS. I only used my friend's battery to start the vehicle and the radiator took me home (about 0.8km) without any problem.

My car has been throwing code P0138 (Oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2 high voltage) about some weeks now.

If you rightly replaced the correct O2 sensor and it is not defective then you have a defective engine ecu
