franchasng: of course Igbos play huge impact on who wins Abuja. Haven't you wondered why Buhari lost in Abuja
There is no Governor in Abuja, The President is there so Igbos know whoever is controlling Nigeria's Presidency controls Abuja.
As for Kano, they do too....go and ask, but Igbos are no longer as much in Kano as some decades ago.
Yes you are right Yorubas *used* to be accommodating, but it seems the praises is entering their head and the little development recorded in Lagos as a result of joint efforts of non-indigenes + indigenes + government policies is also entering Yoruba people's heads, so they are beginning to feel they can ditch Igbos, but I tell you......read what I posted about this in response to one of your fellow Yoruba online tribal urchins below:
Note: your mods deleted my initial comments cos they know that its the sad truth that will awaken every Igbo man or woman, you people should continue, time will tell Igbos don't play any huge part. What played out was a fight between Christians who thought they were resisting Muslim rule embodied by Buhari. Every of my friends, many of who attend Winners Durumi and Dunamis where all for PDP, not because they like Atiku, but because they see PDP as a Christian party. To many of them, it was a battle between APC (Muslim) vs PDP (Christian). I can bet that there were more non-Igbo voters than Igbo voters during the presidential elections in Abuja. 5 Likes |

What do you think make a city rich, famous and great
You think it's when the city is habited by foolish, lazy tribalists who can't think creatively but are good at typing threats and hate words online, is that what you think will make your city great Kids lolz
Go and find out, what made USA the greatest and most prosperous nation in the world; it is their open door nature that brought in migrants, immigrants, etc from all races and nations to build America. That is why most wise and knowledgeable Americans are against Trump's harsh policies towards migrants and immigrants, they know that migrants and immigrants or foreigners built America, but kids like u don't know and won't know.
US Visa lottery played a key role in making America great, which is something Russia lacked, and reason Russia is not as prosperous and promising as USA today, because Russians are close minded, hardly travel outside their shores to invest or allow immigrants or migrants to come into their nation to boost their economy.
You Yorubas are towing the same line that destroyed Northeastern Nigeria. The mass exodus of Igbos from Maiduguri and Yola had a very huge negative impact on those states' economy and even security today.
All these bullshit you kids keep typing about Igbos saying rubbish, Igbos are reading and they are very smart people, they are taking note, and with time you will understand the impact.
I have lots of friends who live abroad but have refused to buy any other land in Lagos, citing that Lagos is no longer safe, they now buy in Owerri, Enugu, Asaba, PHC, I am not here to peddle words with u, I am telling u confirmed impacts of you guys tribal threats against Igbos in Lagos.
Me, the land I have on Lagos Island, as a result of pressure from friends not to invest in Lagos property, I am already looking for buyer, which I haven't seen unlike before due to dwindling number of willing buyers.
Go to Italy, I have forgotten the name of that city, the indigenes go out of their way to protect migrants who are mostly blacks from Nigeria, etc and they even try to include them in their politics, and I was watching on CNN 2 days ago, they interviewed their communal leader abi mayor, he said they always ensure their policies are favorable to migrants and immigrants because that their city is one of the most prosperous cities in Italy despite recession in Italy as a result of migrants and immigrants who boost their economy, provide cheap labor and also tax boost.
But kids like you don't think.
You think if 70% of Igbos leave Lagos, Lagos will remain promising as it is now Keep on blabbing, only time will teach u hard lesson about life.
You can check from December 26 - January 6 of every year, compare how Lagos usually looks when majority of Igbos have traveled for Xmas to normal time, that should give you some tip.
Remember, Igbos control 95% of markets in Lagos, and most of these markets also rely on imported goods that come from:
China Japan America Europe South Korea Thailand India Hong Kong Indonesia
And Igbos as a result of their expedition nature make up 90% or more of people who control imports from the aforementioned countries, so their exit in Lagos will definitely collapse Lagos IGR and economy.
And if u think u can also import, then think again. Igbos over the years have spread their wings all over the world while u tribal urchins and local champions are busy mocking them for abandoning their villages to be traveling around the world, but yes their traveling around the world has made them pillars of world trade.
Igbos have made doing business easy and lucrative for all Nigerians. Look at Mini Importation business in Nigeria and Africa today, if not for Igbos who against all odds many years ago relocated massively to China, tell me how many Africans could have afforded to ship goods from China to Africa through DHL, Fedex, etc
Igbos made it easy for young Nigerians to start mini importation business with small capital and the reason many youths in Nigeria don't feel the impact of Buhari's poor governance that brought mass unemployment of Nigerian youths.
Yet you useless tribalists don't appreciate the great works Igbos are doing in your lives, fools!
So think before you talk, its not about internet war of words, Igbos have become indomitable, sadly I no get your time but, Somebody please teach me how to erase this useless pieces of shit! 1 Like |

2fine2fast: When APC wins in Yorubaland, they call us names, they wail, they cringe in severe pains saying results are rigged. When PDP wins, they gyrate all over shouting elections are fair.
I pity their ignorant lots.
We Yorubas don’t play blind politics, we don’t do hatred politics. The person, the party, his backbones, etc...are some of the factors that make Yorubas choose you or not.
Please note religion does my determine elections in SW. Seyi Makinde is a Christian coasting to victory in Oyo State that has a slightly majority Muslim populations inspite of the fact that his opponent Adelabu is a Muslim.
One last word, any of those people trying to use the freedom of the internet to cause divisions amongst the Yoruba commonwealth...shouting Afonja Muslims, Yoruba Christians...I beg you I n the name of Eledumare to stop.
If you are stubborn and choose not to, Orisa Nla will destroy you, your household, your going out, your coming in, your generations yet unborn and even your ancestors in their muddy graves will partake of the pestilence.
Eledumare a bukun gbogbo omo Yoruba nile loko, Aase. You see your life? You started well, but finished like a nonentity. Lyoncrescent: APC will win Lagos. I don't think our Igbo brothers and sisters should be persecuted and most igbos I know in Lagos also see themselves as Lagosians too as other tribes who have spent most of their life here . Lagos is cosmopolitan and every tribe plays their part to make Lagos great not just we yorubas. We need igbos same way we need every tribe . However what I cannot accept is when people call Lagos a no man's land. That's totally wrong .
Amazing how some keep calling Lagos a no man's land . The thing is my mum is from Lagos. Lagos Island to be precise. She can trace four generations back to her family house in Lagos Island. The history of Lagos from the period of the aworis showed that yorubas dominated the landscape prior to the Oba of Benin expedition. Every Oba of Lagos has been yoruba. Historically, yorubas have been the dominant tribe in Lagos even before Nigeria became a nation
Saying that Lagos is a melting point for everyone is acceptable. After all it is the commercial capital of Nigeria and so many tribes have lived their entire life here which is why its a melting point. London is another classic example as the curent Mayor of London is of Pakistani Origin but also sees himself as a Londoner. Look at the way Nigerians are moving to Canada for better opportunities in droves. Canada is also becoming a melting point.
I cant imagine the Mayor of London now saying simply because he is of pakistani origin, London is now a no mans land. Or, the millions of Nigerians and Africans who have left for Canada should now turn back and say that Canada is a no mans land simply because maybe one Nkechi Adebunmi should become Prime Minister of Canada in future.
The thing is when people say Lagos is a no mans land, they actually attempt to diminish the cultural ties that generations have had in Lagos prior to migration. Based on almost every known record, yorubas were the orignial settlers in Lagos. If I now move to Enugu or Kano and i am popular in my community there and i speak the language and i win a seat in the house of reps there and get a street named after me , can i then also turn arround and say Enugu or Kano is no mans Land ?
Lagos is a melting point. You can say you are also a Lagosian. It can be our lagos together if you want but to say its a no mans land in the context people say is offensive/insensitive to say the least. since 2015, no one was talking about this "no man's land" of a thing, ur politicians and some miscreants just brought up the topic to cause commotion in Lagos and turn Yoruba and Igbo against themselves. As u can see, even those Yoruba people who supported Agbaje as of last year have decided to vote for Sanwo Olu all because of hate towards the Igbo which was propagated by tribal bigots in Yoruba land. You all should remember that whether u uplift Agbaje or humiliate Agbaje, he is still ur brother and son and it has no effect on any other ethnic group, u people are only doing yourselves. 5 Likes |

Congrats to my in coming Governor Sanwo-Olu as the new Lagos governor though I love Ambode with passion but I believe Tinubu has never failed us. Tinubu is a legend that produce legends and I believe in his political philosophy for Yoruba development. An altruistic leader like Tinubu is inevitable in modern politics in order to guarantee consistency for rapid development. Mr JImi Agbaje our regular customer and IPOB candidate in Lagos can not come and destabilize Lagos for us.
Congrats to incoming Ogunbstate governor Dapo Abiodun.

Another problem you people have is your knack for projecting your shortcomings on others.
When someone is always lamenting that people hate him and are jealous of him, I would be forced to ask him one day, "Hope you are not the one who has a problem? How can everyone hate you?"
Which everyone? The problem Ndigbo have had with the northerners since 1970 is mainly about religion and it rarely occurs. The problem Yoruba have with Igbo is envy, simply envy. U guys develop envy not just towards Igbo alone but towards other ethnic groups. 2 Likes |

I and most yorubas i know don't hate igbos. We love them . Their business savvy attitude and soups and ofcourse beautiful ladies. What we can both do is enlighten the radicals who are in the minority and Breed togetherness. There are some of my Yoruba friends who vote for Agbaje simply because they want to bring down the tinubu oligarchy. Others vote for reasons best known to them . But I believe a man is a man and an angel is an angel; during the presidential election, few people taunted some of us in the polling unit by saying Lagos is a no man's land and that they own Lagos and all. Spoke with them after voting and explained my original stand that we can all be Lagosians but no need for inciteful statements and we debated it and became friends afterwards. Some yorubas in the same place also said that igbos are arrogant . However these are in the minority. It won't be fair to use the opinion of the outspoken minority to cloud that of the silent majority .
