Mcy56: Am talking about present situation, you are talking about the future. LOL. Of course, should CBN float our currency today, they will all scrabble tomorrow to find their way in. My concern is about NOW and how participants are playing the market. Talking about policy, if government comes up with a policy that doesn't favour them, will they return back to the market? |

phemmie06:flat performance and same dividend. Though not a bad result, but then, not good to propel the stock upward. If the price remains at the same 765k region, I may sell my holding tomorrow. |

Some stocks that have already declared dividend are actually looking attractive gradually (I just hope am seeing well sha ), thinking it would not be a bad idea if one could get zenithbank btw 20-21,Afriprud 3.5-3.7,transcorp 1.18-1.20, UCAP 2.50,But am tempted to start picking some in tranches a little bit above these prices. I really need some gurus in the house to put me to order o. Can't wait to see the market reaction to stocks like, fidelity, fcmb, npfmcrfbank, conoil, eterna after declaration of dividends. Overreaction actually presents great opportunity to pick up good stocks at bargain prices. |

One of the best advices you can take from this thread is from Sir Wanajo "Approach all Stock investment as if you were the owner of the company." Unlike stocks, in most other businesses you are stuck in either a winning or a loosing position so most owners strive their best to put their businesses in a winning position............ I always apply "The prudent man law when trying to analyse the actions of management especially Nigerian Banks", I have not read Access Reports but from What I can decern lately the Management concluded rights issue about 2.5 years ago, within the space of 18months merged with a commatose bank(their reason we love their retail customers), Now they recently signed up a Syndicated Loan arrangement with a consortium of Lenders(even creditors are wary of them as no one lender is confident enough to give them all the money they need to run the new emerging Mega Bank)............ What ever happened to organic Growth..... Access has kept diluting owners interest in the bank reducing shareholders share of profit continously for the past 5 years.........If you are a shop owner would you keep finding new owners for your small shop space...... I over heard in some of GT and Zenith conference calls that they are not willing to take on more debts as some of their major debts reached maturity this year....... Anyway I await access at #2 junction post merger and after the release of second quarter results... Thats my own safety net 3 Likes 1 Share |

being strictly a technical trader, I have tried to force myself to trade the NSE but it is too slow and lacks enough liquidity therefore the charts are scanty and almost impossible to perform my kind of analysis. Google setup this week was lit and I can do this over and over while keeping risk at a my own comfortable limits. If you want to trade such setups follow me @daberechifx on instagram I post such setups sometimes

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 6:42am On Mar 16, 2019 |
OBAGADAFFI:Hey no spoil mata for us. We the diamond bank shareholders/prospective Access bank shareholders hereby state that we are not complaining. Diamonds don't come cheap. On a more serious note, Access bank actually bought diamond bank at a very low cost. Check how much the nationalized banks like mainstreet., keystone and enterprise bank were sold for. They were not even in better condition than diamond. Skye bank bought mainstreet bank for 126billion naira. That's nothing compared to 24billion naira and 6billion shares Access is paying for diamond. If diamond had gone under, and the whole thing allowed to be done in a bidding process, Access might not even have won the bid. It would have gone to "friends of govt" at a higher price. 1 Like |
