Hey guys I need to buy two cars
First of all my budget is 1.5m total for the first car.
If I am buying from. Copart I will want this to cover both buying, shipping and clearance plus papers and minor repairs like change of tyres and things like bumber and battery.
In total my budget is 1.5m or 1.6 max

However pls I have specifications
I want a car that won't give me problem
I am a first time buyer, budget is 20k for maintenance monthly minus petrol. I can't do more than that.

I want a car with a lovely dashboard. I love the dashboards in BMWs and benz, curvy, sometimes with a wooden look

Pls I want cars with
** reverse camera plus maybe navigation
Panoramic roof.. Or should I say roof window lol

For the Second car my budget is 650k pere
I intend to buy this cars against an event in july

Should I just buy these cars here in Nigeria or tokunbofor the first car
I just dont wanna be duped.. I can't price and I dont have a mechanic close to me
I live in Kaduna state

A mini SUV will be lovely but my village people will just chooke eye for person matter.. Thinking say I buy car worth millions.. All dos mothers wey they call any SUV jeep

Hello my people, yesterday, I realized that, Naija fuel doesn't stop our cars from achieving the required MPG o.

On the highway yesterday, I got 28.4 MPG, 8.4l per 100km.....i was wowed.

If the journey had continued b4 I got into town, I probably would have gotten more.

there are some vehiclethat. falls within ur budget that u can buy in naija .

2003 upwardsHonda crv, hrv, element starting at 1.4 m u use the balance for reversecam and dash screen.

Toyota Rav 4 keep away from 02 to 04 tokunbo with automatic transmission.

Suzuki vitara or grandvitara

KIA sportage

as for the 650 car worth I don't know what you intend to use the car for or what type of vehicle would be appropriate but taking a mechanic to check out the cars b4. purchase is always a good start .

as for the copart thing I don't think u need to give ur self headache and HBP over 1.6m just jejely look for ur choice in naija

Hello house. I need clarity about some things (Toyota Camry - big daddy series) :
1. I observed that some 2005 Camry cars (for example) were produced in 2004, how come they are tagged 2005?
2. does every 2005 Camry come with the dreaded '13pin' auto transmission? if no, how does one detect which one has it or not?
3. why do people advise against the purchase of the 2005 and 2006 series basically because of the '13pin' auto transmission? is there a way to mitigate against this issue?

I'm planning to get a 2005 or 2006 Camry and want to be sure I'm not going on a 'long thing'. thank you as I await the gurus' response.

Car production begins mid-way through the year. For example, 2020 cars will start going on sale in a few months.

Depends on the car. And highway doesn't really affect cars that require premium fuel much. But drive inside traffic or do some short shirt distance city driving u will see ur mpg suffer especially when u use ac

In some cases even earlier. The 2020 Kia telluride just went on sale this March and it is currently the king of family suv beating the current champion Honda pilot.

d 03-06 Camry never had a gear problem rather some 4 cylinder engine had stripped head bolt issues. 4 or 6 cylinder never had gear problem. The 13pin was next generation especially the 2007 model yyyear.

CITY
corolla 8L/100km

camry 10L/100km (4cylinder)

Avalon 13.1L/100km

Highway
corolla 5.5-6L/100km

Camry 8L/100km (4cylinder)

Avalon 8.8L/100km
The V6 camry is a bit close to the V6 avalon

I used to think my c230k and Corolla have the same fuel consumption rate but judging by what you posted....Corolla is more fuel economical.

What's the rating for mine pls

After some continuous heavy traffic and short stop and go driving, I was getting like 35L/100km (7mpg). I decided to reset the damn thing and after about 20km normal city driving without traffic (I was making up to 50-60km hr unlike before when I was not even making up to 20km/hr), I got 16L/100k (about 15mpg). Just 3 mpg short of the factory city mpg.

No surprise.

Our idea of city driving isn't the same thing as theirs. There's a difference between driving in heavy Lagos traffic vs driving slowly around town.

Highway numbers mostly account for coasting and the rest.

Their own idea of city driving is at 40-60km/hr and it does not include rush hour driving. In Lagos I doubt there are many roads where u can drive at 40-60km/hr for 15 mins.

He'll probably change his mind before then anyway grin

Lately, I've been thinking of my next ride and my indecision is something else.

I started from the Acura RLX to the Infinit G37/Q50 and now Audi A6.

You know I won't be surprised if your next ride isn't the Porsche, Lexus nor the infiniti grin

RLX is a full-size sedan, why would you want that? Get the Q50 with a 3.7L, thank me later.

I looked at Audi too a while ago, wouldn't recommend. I think A4s from 2012 onwards are solid, though. Apparently, most of the earlier B8 issues were fixed around then.

I'm an Infiniti man. wink
