INEC Press Statement On Rivers Governorship Election. by naptu2: 1:19am On Mar 16, 2019
INEC releases press statement on Rivers governorship election - will issue timelines for the completion of the process on the 20th of March

The Inedependent National Electoral Commission suspended the Rivers State governorship election process on March 10th, 2019 due to reports that the collation center had been invaded by armed thugs and soldiers.

INEC subsequently set up a fact finding mission that went to Rivers State to ascertain what exactly was happening. The mission submitted its report to INEC's leadership and the commission has now released a press statement about the governorship election.

Ok. I have confidence in this InEC and in its ability to deliver a credible election in Rivers. Prof Yakubu continue the great job. INEC should also hurry and release the results let us know whivch way the pendulum swings. The loser should accept it in good faith as a necessary price paid for the well being of Rivers and the people.
No shaking! Nothing dey happen. Wike can fail this election and Awara can win this election. Let nobody decieve anybody

It’s 17 and PDP won in all. And all the announced 21 constituencies. INEC is sticking with the originals based on polling unit results not the sham announced by the APC and their military cohorts

The way you guys reason makes me to always wonder if you guys have conscience at all. Who is the useless Awara you're talking about? Is there anywhere in the world where a candidate that has never campaign, not known, won a major election? People don't even know his party logo so, how Will he win ?

Let INEC declare him winner na, him go just die for nothing

That state too get wahala, una only dem waka come. Wike and Amaechi have to let the peace reign there, u can't be killing your people because of your own selfishness n the youth over there have to use their brains as well. Killing each other because of these shameful entities must be stopped. Painfully none of their children will be there

To be honest, Wike is winning this election. I think it's even safe to say he's running unopposed. How Amaechi thinks he can use federal might to gain victory for someone almost unknown to most people in the state baffles me...not in this age and time, at least.
I'm very sure most people who were going to vote APC, voted PDP because the former has no candidate in the polls.

With this, Awara will definitely defeat Wike. Now Obio/Akpor result will not be accepted and there will be a dry vote there. Congratulations to the winner

Childish politics by Amaechi. Just compare this elections with that of Jonathan's and see what Mess Nigerians voted for in 2015. Rigging everywhere. June 12 annulment was even more matured. #Spits on the ground#

Do you live in Rivers State? It’s laughable that the guy is even a contender. He’s not know even in his village. Pray that Wike wins so that the violence that might erupt from this sham election would not cripple Nigeria’s economy. After destroying Ateke Tom’s palace and trying to arrest Asari. It’s seems you are not seeing the tension building in the state.
Amaechi is a blood thirsty vampire and his end would be worse than that of Abacha. How can you be killing your people because of Hausa/Fulani that would always put their kins first? Sending Hausa Soldiers to kill your people.

In a free and fair election between Wike and Amaechi, the Lizard won’t get half of Wike’s votes. Not to talk of this dumb dumb that is on a suicidal mission.

Worst Election in the history of Nigeria’s democracy
