Not really they have different kind of rice some are too soft and some are tasteless, as a new comer you will try various rice in the shop till you get the one that suits you . After various sampling a friend introduced me to this which is far better especially when you want to make Jollof. This is my opinion though. dustydee: |

GoodMemory, and every other commenter, between migrating to Canada and Australia, which would you suggest for someone who wants to relocate permanently? My family wants me to move to Canada. But I think I prefer Australia, for reasons I can't even fathom. I wanted starting the process in January, but I have been stalling. 3 Likes |

zicoraads: It will depend on a lot of factors and your personal preferences. I live in Canada, so everything I know about Australia is what I've read on the internet or heard from friends and a family member who is an Aussie PR. The most obvious difference between the two is the weather. Canadian winters are very harsh, unforgiving and will keep you indoors for almost half a year. I do love the snow though. Australia, enjoys lovely, warm summers and hot sunny beaches almost all year-round. It appears salaries/income levels is Australia is higher than Canada. But the cost of living is generally also higher. So maybe they balance out? Canada has a much more African presence. There are many more Nigerians/Africans in Canada than Australia, which helps a lot in making you settle down quickly and feel at home. Canadians are also more accustomed to seeing blacks and other immigrants than Aussies. Consequently, there is less discrimination. Just go for whichever suits you best. If you are choosing between Australia and Canada, you can't really make a wrong choice here. 5 Likes |

kylexy61:Thank you very much, sir. Australia it is then. Is there anyone who recently migrated? Will it be too much if I ask for the processes? Or is there any specific post I can be directed to? Or I should just start reading from Page 1? |

kylexy61: I am yet to see any sort of discrimination in Australia. |

zicoraads: In addition to what kylexy61 has said, I would like to add that depending on what you do, getting the first job might be harder in Canada than in Australia because of the stringent requirement for "Canadian Experience" in Canada. Though "Australian experience" is sometimes a requirement for first time job seekers in Australia, prospective employers often waive the requirement once your skills are extremely good or you have previous experience in any of the first world countries. 2 Likes |
