2.2 starts from 2.50-3.49 on a 5-point gradescale. You may be admitted for a M.SC if u have a 2-2 (strong one).
Op, the only way you can do a Masters is if you do a PGD first. After your PGD, go for masters immediately.

Mine's a 4-point GS and 2.2 starts at 2.80 Weird? Yep.

OP, pls take this from someone that has done a PGD before. Don't waste your time and money.
PGD is a waste of time.
I'll tell u why:
First they tell you it 18months. Trust me u will spend much longer. It can get up to three years. Universities don't pay attention to PGD students hence na anytime dey like dem dey attend to them. I spent close to three years for PGD at Unizik. Still even waiting for the result since 2014.

Secondly, you spend a while lot of money. You may think you'll pay ur fees maybe once or twice, trust me it can get up to thrice, d fees don't stop from one story to another.

Thirdly even if you do 4 PGD's the first point of call when applying for anything is your first degree. When it doesn't meet their 1.1 or 2.1 your PGD doesn't matter. PGD doesn't cover your first degree by anymeans. Only few firms or properly lecturing MAY give u audience.

My Advice
Apply for a D.E start from 300level and get a good first degree.
Or Go do professional courses, well known ones. The ACA, the ICAN, belong to a professional body, etc.

Wrong! "@only" UNILAG admits 3rd class in some selected masters programmed like MILR (master in industrial and Labour relations), psychology, MILD, MELS and some few other courses without Pgd only if u can pass the entrance exam.

Na professional masters be d@ and besides you must have some work experience.

@Op, go nd learn an ICT skill if you can't do masters. In our field, it's your skills that matters most before your degree. I have friends that teach in NIIT and New Horizon that graduated with 3rd. just pick one aspect of I.T and be very good at it. Nobody really gives a hoot what you graduated with in the I.T sector. Firms, multinationals, I.T companies, Startups will rush you. For instance, Full stack web development with concentration in Javscript (Node, react), Php or Python.

You can learn graphics design very well, this one will pay you very well on platforms like Fiverr, if you ever find your way out of this country, the skills will make a way for you

You can also learn I.T businesses i.e Forex, importation, dropshipping e.t.c

Why do people always think that 3rd class graduates are academically dull. Let me tell u a story, During my undergraduates days 1 of the best guys in my class did graduate with a 3rd. Dude was good practically, bt couldn't cope with the academics reason being that he was not a good crammer. And sure u know if you ain't a good crammer nothing for u in Nigeria uni's. To cut the long story short dude is now in Canada working with a multinational. PS this guy helped most of us with our project back then.

Dont mind that fvcktard!! Let him go to Unilag engine and see gurus wey no send grades again. I v a friend who took first position from primary 1 to ss3 and with best ssce in a federal gov college but in Elect elect the guy go just get 4 As and 4 Fs.. u go just wonder. yees you can do your masters directly in some Nigeria universities e. g unilag once you can pass their entrance examination. am 100% sure of this. maybe not all departments but i know some do accept e. g faculty of tech
