What's up with PTDF na.... so shortlisting have not been concluded. I thought it's a programmed stuff or do they go through each application one after the other? Just being curious. I hope the process is not being manipulated. The delay is worrisome.

Pls, what do they mean cos I received the same msg. Is it that we have been shortlisted or what? But I taught ptdf will secure admission for us if we win the scholarship. That was why I didn't bother to apply for admission.

In fact, I don't know oo. I checked the requirements for admission in Trier University and application fee is required, coupled with TOEFL or IELTS, which is a must.

I believe if ptdf is aware DAAD is requesting for admission letter they will know how to go about it. They never asked us to contact any school directly. Getting ptdf management aware shud be the next move.

Yeah good advice, PTDF will not get admissions for nobody cause they told us the same thing last year, only for them to tell us to go seek for admissions after the list came out in June, which was too late for some schools, especially German/France scholars (but one can still defer to next year). So if you think the school you want have an admission deadline, I think its best to apply on time in order to meet up, but stop expecting PTDF to do things for you especially in term of gaining admissions.

I also received the same mail yesterday from ma'am Sophia, i chatted her up and she said that the deadline for uploading the admission letter is in August. So i believe we can begin to seek admission from our respective schools, except if we make certain that PTDF will on the behalf of successful candidates make applications for us(by God's Grace).
Although application for admission to Kiel University which is one of the school i chosed has closed since 1st march -i got to discover this on seeing the mail from ma'am Sophia yesterday.
Please for those who are beneficiary of the MSc Germany OSS please what do you suggest we do?

Exactly...u are on point. I'm a little bit skeptical abt this admission of a thing

I would suggest you focus all your energy on getting the scholarship first. As it is, nobody even knows if they have been shortlisted for the interview stage, since according to them(ptdf), they have not completed the shortlisting process for interviews. Why not take this time to work on yourself in advance (for the interview), and perhaps after that stage, you can start hustling for admission.

PTDF is subject to offer you scholarship.
PTDF is not an admission agency to apply for admission on anybody's behalf.

From indications, most German Schools closed admissions since March 15th.

After all that has been explained by the guys that experienced what happened last year, some people re still waiting for Ptdf to secure admission for them. You all should better start seeking for admission now. Except maybe the school you want to apply to are requesting for admission fee.

...so the messages received from DAAD applicants is irrelevant then since many did not make any attempt to secure admission believing ptdf will do that.... All this little issues can just be avoided if things are explained and spelt out correctly

Hello guys, I am one of the successful candidates for uk phd last year and I will be here from time to time to answer you Qs.
For those wondering if PTDF will secure admission for you, NO they won't, you will be responsible for securing admissions yourselves for all the overseas scholars.
Secondly, I will advice for you guys to chill and get the award 1st then worry about getting admissions later, cause I assure you, admissions won't be a problem once you have sponsorship (I got mine in 4 weeks and its a phd in univ of Manchester).
Lastly, once you have the award, you are free to change university of choice so far as the university is among the ptdf approved ones (it doesn't have to be the one applied for while submitting ptdf application), for uk scholars at least, don't know of other countries.

Yes Oh! Admission fee of £70 for online & £100 for paper admission. UCL, GMNR Program.

You move to Germany. You won't need to pay school fees.
When you are there, you can survive with part-time jobs.
