Yeah,the ogas are flooded in most of the Kenyan varsities and many of them are still influxing our learning borders.Just last year a convention of Bello university students in Nigeria came to MMU for a worship summit.Some Congolese,Ethiopians,south Africans,Zambians,Zimbabweans and among other African students ain't also left out.I think our tertiary system of education is the frontier of racial integration in east Africa,then makerere and Dar es salaam universities closely follows.

I have always felt the same. I hear people castigating SA for Xenophobia but which African country would allow over 5 million foreigners within its borders? Kenya probably has the second highest number of African immigrants and that's why we never get this entitled. I find it laughable how Tanzanians are always boasting how they are South African saviors and how a South African would give up his air ticket for a Tanzanian if he realizes it's a Tanzanian. Here in East Africa, Tanzanians usually claim that Kenyans in South Africa have to pretend to be Tanzanian to get better treatment. Just imagine how laughable that sounds.

No, a lot of people left & a lot of people could come in as well, legally. Example, in the 80s many Ghanaians worked in the Eastern Cape. Remember that there were independent homelands within South Africa. Going to certain parts of South Africa you needed a permit, because you were "an immigrant". Someone from the Eastern Cape was an immigrant in Jo'burg for instance. Apartheid made no sense at all.
