Ohk,the Ga Adangbe is made up of two groups known as the Ga(s) and the Adangbe(s).They make up about 10% of Ghana and is among the five main ethnic groups in Ghana.The Gas consist of five traditional groups in their communities which are Accra,the capital of Ghana,Teshie,Nungua,Tema the port and industrial city,La and Osu.all in the Greater Accra region with Accra being the capital.Then there is the Adangbe which consist of Ada,Ningo,Prampram,Kpone,Shai,Osudoku and the Krobo in the Eastern region,Volta Region and Greater Accra region of Ghana.They are known to have migrated from the East to present shores of present day Ghana buh no one knows where exactly they began from although they claim to have migrated from Israel because whilst there was a town named in the Bible called Tema.They settled temporary in Ille Ife in present day Nigeria,later moved to Benin,then to Togo and finally arrived in Ghana.The Akans saw them marching from a very far distance and thus were surprised to see them and made various comments that which people are coming towards us like termites or soldier ants which in Twi is Nkrane.Nkran was later corrupted as Accra by the Europeans buh we refer to them in the most spoken language in Ghana(Twi)as "Nkran" which means soldier ants.The Gas speak Ga and the Adangbes speak Krobo.

Perhaps I've been away for too long but i'm continually amazed at the African diversity in now Kenya.I was surprised to see so many people from Madagascar resident in Nairobi welcoming their president recently.Also amazed to come across Nigerian ,Cameroonian and even Peruvian residents associations .The only African foreigners I used to see before I left was a handful of Ethiopian and Rwandese refugees with an occasional sighting of a Ugandan teacher here and there.

The number of people from those countries isn't that high in Nigeria. Again, the Lebanese and Indians living in Nigeria are second or third generation immigrants if I'm correct so practically they are Nigerians - when I talked of Kenya having lots of immigrants, I wasn't talking of the Kenyans of Indian or white origin. Again, I was talking of African immigrants.
