SADC started as a liberation movement which was called Frontline states.Tanzania was a founding member together with Zambia. It later changed and be called SADC.South Africa applied to join SADC after 94. SADC of now, its main purpose is to cooperate members on security and economic affairs.

Tanzania is in East Africa geographically. In foreign policy, we are both in SADC and East African community

Listen,I feel very reluctant to respond to your ignorant post.I now believe you are very ignorant about Ghana .First,Barclays Bank Africa is no more owned by Barclays Bank UK,buh now the ABSA Bank,also it's no where near the biggest in Ghana.Have you heard of the fully owned government owned Ghana Commercial Bank.It's the biggest and richest financial institution in Ghana followed by the Consolidated Bank of Ghana(CBG)(Government owned),National Investment Bank(NIB)which is government owned,Barclays Bank,Ecobank,Agriculture Development Bank(ADB)which is also government owned,Standard Chartered Bank,Bank of Africa and in that order and there is a rural bank each in the over 5000 communities and about 27 licensed banks with hundreds of savings and loans all for 29 million people and strictly regulated by the Bank of Ghana.Recently a new minimum capital was introduced and a downward cut was made from over 36 banks to now 27 banks for those who could meet the minimum capital of 400 million cedis which is about 100 million dollars in order to establish a bank.First Atlantic,Energy bank and other Nigerian banks couldn't meet the capital including indigenous banks so their license was revoked or asked to merge.And don't quote a Nigerian writer about Ghanaian banks to me,it sounds stupid.Chuka whatever has no authority to rank banks in Ghana and that article is very outdated and misinformed.
