The much that seems to have concerned you so far is the giving of biometrics. Did you submit your documents at VFS? No.... It’s an online route application that is, and monitoring can only be done by the one who has access to the GCKey details, and that is the agent in this case. Sorry oh!

got a pick up sms 0n the 14th of march

I got a paper did not indicated if it was refuse or not..share bellow..

pls help a brother... my brother applied for temporary visa this January. we were able to track it online. few days ago he received a message that his passport is ready for collection, he collected the passport yesterday. it wasn't stamped, his submitted documents was not given to him.

pls can someone explain what happened, will he be called to submit the passport again for stamp? will his submitted documents be returned to him?

Hello everybody. I am about submitting my Mum's visit visa application but i need some clarifications. On IMM5257 the space provided for the employment history isn't enough, how do i go about this? should i fill out another form and include the rest of the information (employment history) or just type it out on a sheet of paper and attach as other document?

Also the question " Do you have a family member who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and is 18 years or older?" I dont know what the answer here should be, as the definition of family member on the CIC website says "An applicant's closest relatives, in the context of an application to IRCC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children."

I am the one sponsoring my Mum and I am a permanent resident of Canada but i am not her dependent child anymore, so i am confused here whether to say yes or no.

So I got my COPR yesterday and would like to apply for TRV for my mum who is a retired principal. So I called her to give me her UCI number because I know she had once applied before and got rejected.

Below is the story; please indulge me

My brother lives in America with his family and my mum has been there about 5 times. Usually she goes with my dad or with her best friend. She recently just came back last year October after spending 6 months.

Back in 2017, Her best friend also wanted them to visit her own younger sister in Canada , so she persuaded my mum to apply for TRV with her. Her younger sister was the one who did the whole application process for both of them. Surprisingly my mum wasn’t granted visa. But she wasn’t even bothered because she wasn’t interested in going. But her friend’s own clicked.

I stumbled on this thread to understand what to do to file for Mum’s visa, then i asked her for UCI number to create a profile for her. That was when she went to dig out the note the visa officer in charge of her application wrote. It’s too painful to read.

Apparently this her friend’s sister didn’t want her to come to Canada. Because my mum said she didn’t ask her for any documents. In the note I also saw that she ticked transit visa for my mum. Also my mum was asked for an interview and she didn’t even tell her. Human beings are wicked.

Now please, everyone help me. How do I turn this around. What do we tell the visa officer about what happened in 2017.

Please i need you to guide me with a draft of something I can elaborate on .

My mum must get visa o as I have multiple exams to write in Canada that can last a year. I need her support with the kids.

My parents are retired and are not working
She is a retired principal
They don’t have a business
But they have multiple landed properties
My dad is alive
I only have a sibling who lives in the US

I have a family of 4, me , husband and two kids

Please I need guidance. Should we also do online or paper application

We still have to use same UCI number right??

There is nothing to look on the refusal letter. Travel history was the only reason for refusal. I will advice you apply for GCMI note to ascertain the main reason for her previous refusal so that you can tackle it head on in the new application.

Its either they are trying to get your passport back to you as quickly as possible in order to meet processing standards or they are trying to avoid a confrontation.

If the refusal letter takes time to be fully processed, it would make sense to optimize the process by returning the passport of the applicant and asking him wait for the letter in his email.

I read a thread in a foreign forum with others in same situation. Only one out of the many was asked to resubmit his passport for the Visa sticker after he contacted the embassy to find out about the slip.

The same thing here. submitted same day with you and same slip seen.

I did biometric for visit visa and submitted my application (paper route) the same day on Feb 8th,2019. Today I received mail from high commission of Canada from Kenya RE: Validity of your biometric information... Please does this mean? Does it mean the visa has been approved or will be approved?

Same thing with me coincidentally same day submission (paper too). But I don’t think it means anything else other than your biometric and photography acknowledgement
