carnal: What exactly was this visa issued for? One thing is certain here, dare write them that ”yeye” letter and your visa is cancelled. Way forward since you have the resources to birth in the US is to jejely just rebook another appointment to go inform them of the birthing plan, which I doubt you will agree to do. From what I deduce she “suddenly” realised she’s 6 months gone about a month ago, that’s a month after her visa interview, which puts her at 7 months now. You don’t even have the luxury of time to quickly use the visa for the purpose it was issued. CBP will almost die with you to allow you in for birthing, but renewal of that visa if you go ahead just like that to birth with it is almost impossible. The only gamble you can even dare take now is to go birth in an hospital that won’t give discount and the birthing bill should be $20-30k, you may then magically have a chance with both the CBP and the adjudicating officer during renewal if at all! You see? The other less acceptable but best option is to just birth here in naija if possible to avoid all these wahala Seek more here https://www.nairaland.com/4250945/give-birth-usa-cost-procedures |

carnal:See BS story. The wife didn't know she was 5 months plus pregnant when she went for visa interview? This is exactly one of tbe reasons Nigerians find it difficult getting visas ; lies and misrepresentation. She might think shes smart but she should hold her breathe, POE awaits her. 4 Likes |

carnal: Oh, okay. How many weeks exactly at interview? If less than say 3 weeks, it’s understandable she didn’t know of the pregnancy yet at the time, she should be fast now to first use that visa for what it was issued for. Use the time yet available after to source all info and requirements, then submit herself for a B2 birthing visa interview. Meanwhile, Kindly go back to your initial post and insert “weeks” after that “6” there.... 2 Likes |

Beautyaddy: There is nothing obvious here. I spent 3 months simply on holidays during the winter season of 2015. I came back and focused on the family business and i renewed via dropbox successfully in 2016 and did not even bother travelling until when the visa was about to expire which was last year and the visit was just for a month. I have very strong ties down here so ask m first before jumping to conclusions. 2 Likes |

Good evening House, Pls has someone been successful with scheduling for a 221G follow up interview these days? When u click to select appointdate date for interview, it comes up blank. I have mailed the service desk thru the site and they replied saying it's an discretion of the embassy to give out dates for 221G interview. Pls who here has been successful and how long did it take btw the time u got the 221G notice and an appointment from ur profile? Thanks |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by cris83: 8:33pm On Mar 19, 2019 |
DrStrangelove: I got 221g letter in december 2018, and the earliest date i got was june 2019 and booked it all the same. Keep checking everyday and the next available date will show up eventually... |

I don't know of any firm that will give you 3 months leave... that 6 months on your stamp is not for you, it's for people in extraordinary circumstance. 3 months in U.S is a stretch if it was 6 weeks it's still understandable. |

What. That's a long time. This thing will be messing up people's travel plans. Why give 221G when uv not made adequate preparation to accommodate extra pressure on appointment dates? What if ur schedule or travel plan is exceeded by the date uv chosen for 221G appointment? What intent ll u now be defending during the interview when the event has passed? For how long did u keep checking coz it's very strenous checking every few hours every day? Is there no way to FasTrack? cris83: |

seyewest: No, as I stated earlier, it's a family business. I was studying for my masters in Ghana when I got my first visa in 2014 so once I was done, I took the trip and as I said it snowed like crazy where I was that time such that my uncle who I stayed with refused to let me travel back until the weather was better as he would have had to drive me to the airport and its an 1h 20mins drive. Agreed it was a stretch, but I filled that when I did Dropbox for the second visa (2016) and it was renewed. This is my third renewal that had m stuck with 221g and my last trip (last year) was just 4weeks. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by cris83: 11:58pm On Mar 19, 2019 |
DrStrangelove: I can't say when a viable date will be made available as its as the discretion of the embassy. Calm down and keep checking. It will update soon enough. If after a day or two it doesn't you may have to send a mail to them about the date issue. As for plans, I did have some plans last December for a trip and once the delay (administration processing) took longer than normal, I had to cancel the ticket and then I got the 221g summons. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by cris83: 12:03am On Mar 20, 2019 |
Omosholape80: The 3month trip was before I came back to assume my role and then renewed via Dropbox a second time despite filling this in the Ds160 form at that time... |
