Bayern boss Uli Hoeness has confirmed that Bayern Munich are set for the biggest spending spree the club has ever witnessed. I pray Onyekuru is included in the influx of players into the Bavarians' squad this summer

Alex Iwobi can play that role better than him, believe me. This post Chelsea Mikel is not a really true playmaker, he still uses experience and natural talent to get by in that role but, right now, DM is his best position.

As for Ighalo and Musa, I don't see what they have that we can't get from the young guns like Onyekuru, Osihmen, Chukwueze, etc. I don't want a situation where folks would be playing in a retirement league like China or the backwaters of Saudi Arabia but still be commanding starting positions in our national team based on their past exploits alone. I would prefer they step aside and give the young players a chance. How do we develop the young players if we keep recycling these oldies??

O pari

komekn:

If you are good enough them you are old enough.

In reality there is nobody young or old who is currently better than Mikel.

If Pirlo can play for Juventus and Italy at 35+ or Arjen Robben, Danny Valdes, etc for the best clubs and for country then we have no basis to ask for the retirement of players that are still performing.

Currently all the supposedly youthful players we have are simply potential that is yet to be realised. Effectively young pretenders.

Being youthful can not and Will NEVER BE the sole criteria for a player to replace another.

Currently there is nobody better than Ighalo fact.

Well, I haven't watched him since the Brazil Olympics so he might have lost form. But he had a massive tournament in Brazil .... I anointed him the next big thing after that Olympics.

I totally agree with the first portion of your statement. But with the level of talent at our disposal, can't we beat Libya without those two players? I mean, you gotta agree that this Seychelles game would've been a good opportunity for Rohr to throw those players (and others in the fringe) into the fray and see what they can do, instead of recycling the same old and tired players.

That U23 game against Libya is a lot more important than than the Seychelles game. Chukwueze and Azubuike are needed more in that game. Again the U23 is not cadet Football.

But why would Everton be asking for 40m Euros on a player who's yet to play even 1 minute of EPL game

That's not realistic especially considering that Onyekuru is a non-EU player as well.

German media reporting that Bayern are on the verge of signing Onyekuru.

Everton asking for 40 million Euros.

it's because bayern is interested. everton probably want to cover all their bases. if onyekuru turns out to be a fantastic signing for munich everton will not feel they have totally lost out cos they are getting his potential world class valuation now. if however it goes the other way and henry becomes a flop (God forbid!) well hey maga don pay

Understood. But the point is, I don't see Bayern paying 40m euros (not even dollars) on an African player who's yet to prove himself at a decent level.

The Lineup looks more of 4 - 2 - 4 than 4 - 4 - 2. The Squad is blessed with too much good attacking Players.

Chairman at this stage u cannot leave anything to chance
You know nothing about the strength of the Libyan team. If we use our best to win this first leg convincingly we may not even border the foreign based players for the return leg.

The guys on the list can play 4-4-2 and 4-3-3. It depends on what tactic the coach wants to adopt.

I look forward to an exciting and positive result
