Centino all I am saying is,the cost of starting up a site will be too much,maintenance and all.You might never recover.It might swallow you up when the gain does not get up to the cost.Most people get discouraged by the number of viewers and comments they see on a story.

Even a bad dog has its own day. That wadewaltz has been a troll doesn't mean he's always wrong but I guess his reputation preceded him. Nevertheless, if you didn't see the place I said our power is limited to extent we can't contact the owner of the forum, then I'm stating it here.

I was advising him to play his game well with this traffic he can get through Nairaland. I was only advising him to not let his readership slip off. But what do I know? I don't own a story blog or anything of such.

Hello Centino, I have gone through your website, and I have a question, Who advised you to sell books? That advise is totally wrong.

The best you could have done is to make it a membership type of website where people subscribe to read your posts, and other stories you write which aren't affiliated to the main story line.

The idea was borne out of the reasoning that I can't post all past episodes there. You won't believe how the book has sold in two days. Someone new to the site can download one part free and buy the second and then keep up with the story.

That is not the main idea for monetization, however. We'll be trying different things and eventually will stick with what works best. My priority in this beginning is to have my own space where I can write as I want.

I am an author of other works as well. In future, I will be selling my other books on the site too so the book selling feature is there to stay.

All correct. But look at it this way:Centino was out to entertain in the first place and not to make money.
He now trended. Same way Facebook started. Then if he wants to make money, no big deal. Life itself is a risk. People will flourish even in the times of famine.
And if Centino website fails, Centino is not a failure. For now one the greatest writer I have read on naira land.
