Today, i want to list out the countries to immigrate to by 2020

This list is based on the following parameters

•Human development index
•Economy growth
•Path to permanent resident and citizenship
•The common language used
•Job opportunities and unemployment rates

Before i start, i want you guys to shower me with likes because today is my birthday

Every 23rd of March speaks more about me... I wish myself happy birthday

I wish to be in my country (deutschland) before the end of this year.

Number one.... Canada, the maple country

Official language is English and French

Canada is the second largest country in the world home to 37 million people. If you are a skilled person, you can immigrate to Canada either by federal express entry migration system or through provincial nomination system So if you plan to relocate to Canada, there is a DIY thread on nairaland where you can get all the information you need to immigrate to Canada

Another option is to secure a job with a Canadian employer. If you are able to obtain high school in English language and have a masters degree, your path to permanent residency would be easier.

Also, if you wish to immigrate with your parents or siblings or maybe you have a wife and children, Canada is the right place to go.

It takes 3 years to become a Canadian citizen. With high quality of living, high quality education and basic healthcare, Canada ranks number one in this list.

Number two is New Zealand, yes you heard me right, NZ

Official language is English

This South island in the world with less than 5 million people is one of the happiest english speaking countries.

If you are a skilled person, you will be able to immigrate to New Zealand. Another advantage of New Zealand is high quality of living, good education, and low unemployment rates.

If you are a nature friendly person, you will fall in love with the south island Alps, beaches and world of sports.

It takes 5 years to become a Kiwi and also have the opportunity to move to Australia once you are a New Zealander

Number three.... Singapore

Official languages are English, Malay, Tamil, Standard mandarin and mandarin chinese

Singapore is an island and global financial centre of Asia continent with less than 6 million people.

Singapore is having a very high quality of living and ranked 5th in human development index

You need an employment permit to get started in Singapore and it can take up to 10 years to become a citizen of Singapore

If you would like to initiate your own startup, you can setup your company and obtain an entry pass to start living in Singapore

Number four....Australia

Official language is English

Australia is the 6th largest country in the world, bigger than india and smaller than Brazil in size. Nearly 25 million people from different cultures live in Australia, mostly in the largest cities like Sydney and Melbourne.

You can immigrate to Australia as a skilled migrant with or without State sponsorship. You can also opt for regional locations.

You can become Aussie citizen within 4 years
School education and basic healthcare is free for permanent residents and voting in election is mandatory for citizens.

Australia is a very good location if you are looking for warm climate Australian beaches are among the best on the planet

Official languages are English and Irish

Ireland is an English speaking country in Europe with lots of technical job opportunities. If you are a technical person, you can get a permanent resident status in Ireland within two years and for non-technical, it takes 5 years.

You can also become an Irish citizen, the good news is that if you are an entrepreneur, you can apply for start up visa

Ireland is a small country with 4.5 million people and one of the best countries in Europe if you wish to explore Europe.

Many business organizations moved their headquarters to Ireland due to their low tax rates. So if you are looking for a country with low tax rates, then Ireland is for you

Official language is Dutch

One of the best location in Europe for technical and non-technical people is Netherlands

Almost 99% Dutch speak English(might be wrong though but that is what i got from my research)

The Netherlands is home to companies like shell, I & G, Unilever and Phillips.

You need an employment permit to start in Netherlands or you can also get self employed resident permit.

It takes 5 years to Dutch citizenship and this country does not permit dual citizenships that is you have to denounce your country in order to be a citizen in the Netherlands

Germany can be your favourite and future destination if you like to learn German (deutsch)

You can get 6 months job seeker visa to start searching for jobs in Germany. If you are highly qualified with a professional masters or PhD, your chance of securing a job is pretty much easier than those with only b.sc (Although this depends on luck)

You can become a German citizen in 33 months if you have a EU blue card or 6 years with German language score or 8 years residence.

Number nine.... Sweden

I always say this... Learning languages has a series of benefits, some which are quantifiable and others which are significantly less tangible. Learning a foreign language takes time and dedication but in the end, it would be an advantage.

Me personally, i enjoy learning languages, even if just enough for a very basic conversation. I get enjoyment when I talk to people in a language they weren’t expecting me to speak, and i enjoy being able to communicate with people I may not have been able to communicate with otherwise.

Languages are like puzzles, they have patterns to them and once you get the ball rolling, you can build your base faster, and the fact that there is also a practical aspect to learning languages which is even more enjoyable.

In nutshell, don't be lazy to learn a language. I know many Nigerians made United States of America their dream country because english is their official language over there. There are alot of countries which might not be okay to you but if you go there and experience how life is over there, maybe you might stay and travel to USA for visit.

A great man once said 'the more languages you know, the more you are human.’

Imagine if you can speak German for example. Learning Danish or Swedish won't be difficult because they are Germanic language.

To me, Austria is more like mini Germany. Main reason why i didn't put it on the list. Austria is very similar to Germany. A small country with rich economy
