The incumbent Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom is currently coasting to victory in the Saturday’s supplementary governorship election in the state.
From the results announced so far at various polling units where the rerun election took place, Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party has extended his lead margin over Emmanuel Jime of the All Progressives Congress.

www.idomavoice.com reports that Before the election was declared inconclusive, Ortom was leading Jime with 81,000 votes.
