It is high time to escalate the daily light robbery the management and staff of Mobil filling Station at Ikeja opposite Guinness melt on their customers especially unsuspecting ones.

The first time I noticed it, I had to challenge the attendant for playing smart with the meter. So I told him I wanted to buy fuel of N2,500. Fortunately for me I watched the meter reading to 920.00 and I took my face off. Suddenly, he removed the nozzle and the meter showed N2,500. Then I challenged him that this can't be true from N920 to N2,500 in the space of few seconds. He quickly apologized and when he pressed the button, it was actually N1,200 he has sold to me. Then I watched till he sold the actual litres.

Fast forward to today, thesame thing happened. I entered the same filling station with an empty tank and asked the attendant to sell N2,000, only for me to be cheated on again. This time around I would have done worse to the attendant but cos I was running late I just had to snap my fuel meter to inform the relevant agencies of the daily light robbery unsuspecting motorists get from these fuel stations like Mobil.

I have also noticed this from most Mobil filling stations and it is totally unfair.

I call on motorists patronising them to be careful and stand up against this unholy act.

You gauge doesn't prove anything and cant be used against the filling station. You should have confronted the staff there and then and made a formal report or video of your confrontation with the attendant even if you were in a hurry then you can go back and follow it up. As it stands, you have no case you just dashed them money

These same attendants discourage the use of POS just to perpetuate their fraud and divert the money.

Report your issues to the manager. Though you cant be compensated because there is no prove you were defrauded but at least the manager will caution his staff on their sharp practices and they may turn over a new leaf for fear of being caught.
