Was education free?was healthcare free ?what did you do, to be successful? You don't even understand anything?we practiced regions ,not states .

the main thing is that our economy then was more than enough for us, we produced enough to feed us and also surplus for export which made us grow very fast economically, without OIL.
And hope you remember south east was leading economically then? before the civil war which brought us down to level zero.

Officially confirmed! North is standing on rope and at the same time dragging it. Nigeria will keep on its retrogressive course with the way its presently structured. Those who think there will be any improvement in the hopeless situation will wait until crude oil dry up or a cheaper and more efficient crude oil alternative is found . Thats the only time North will allow restructuring of a progressive Nigeria. Until then Nigeria will continue to grope, and few fortunate ones will sustain the looting spree of the paper giant of Africa. Mark it somewhere.

Same thing I told my friend yesterday. Two major reasons the North didn't vote for Atiku were largely due to his promise to restructure Nigeria and to Privatize NNPC. It is glaring that these two proposals make economic sense but due to political parasitism by the North, ethnic bigotry and self-centeredness, they will never allow this country to move forward. Everybody knows of a truth that the present NNPC is just a shadow of itself but some Nigerians hate the truth. I think Atiku should have played Buhari kind of politics - promise heaven and Earth and lie to the North in order to get their votes. Most Nigerians don't like who tells them the truth. That politically nailed Atiku.
Good points no doubt. Though, I am not a fan of APC/PDP, I see APC as a symbol of gross incompetence while PDP represents corruption at its height. Nevertheless, Atiku would have moved this country forward more than the clueless Buhari who lacks and doesn't have any blueprint or economic plan whatsoever.

If Atiku did not talk about restructuring, he would'nt have got such wide margins of vote he got in the east and west. The problem with this country is the north. Go and calculate the vote from the core north where illiteracy, lack of family planning, terrorism, begging and almajiri system is pervasive and second to none (Sokoto, Zamfara, Borno, Yobe, jigawa, bauchi, kano, katsina etc) and you will see that they are the one dictating who rules this country with their enormous vote. No matter how the elitist state in the west and the east vote, it will still not be enough for the candidate of the east/west to win.

On my own, I have since stopped giving money to their beggars, because they are the ones voting wrongly and has continued to put this country in a mess. After voting wrongly, they will flock to the east and west begging for alms and we will still be pitying them, In addition to this, go and conduct a survey on the youths riding okada in Lagos and Ibadan and you will see that 70% of them are northerners. Alternatively, I have stopped collecting change anytime I buy water/minerals from those yorubas/ibos hustling on the street, even if I buy water N70 and give the seller N200 or N500, I will dash them the change instead of encouraging those nuisance and so-called beggars from the north.

Well to get out of this mess ,the east and west will need to come together with middle belt plus South South and get rid of these people.but you people must admit destroying the system and apologize and reconcile and stop claiming peoples land areas.

jealous you say?? When we were enjoying the system, our coal lime stone with mini agriculture was really paying......Only God know where you borrowed this lies from, we all know that right from the beginning, the Yoruba have always been the one jealous of the Igbos, and that was why the yorubas merged with the north during the civil war, they wanted to make sure we all go down to rubles, so they could take over all we own in lagos as of then. Well you guys succeeded, but guess what?? We came back to our feet so fast than you could imagine, and we are leading again.
May i remind you that we igbos never had opportunity to control the government, we only had a ceremonial president. The closest we got to power was with Aguiyi, but he was assassinated within 3 months, we had more of Hausa leaders, and if i should correct you, they abolished that structure of government shortly after the discovery of OIL, because they knew they ain't benefiting from it, so don't come here and tell us fake history.

now listen to the true history, on the 1st of October 1963, Aguiyi ironsi led a coup which resulted to the death of tafawabelewa and some others, ZIK was on the run, as he wanted to safeguard his own life. Aguiyi took over power, and ruled for only 3 months, Note: he maintained the 4 regional government.
Shortly after, the north retaliated, Gowon lead his own coup which saw to the assassination of Aguiyi. He assumed government, abolished the 4 regional government and then came up with Federalism, which lead to the creation of 12 states, 1966.
So where are all this your lies coming from?

Yorubas joined in the war because you were invading and coming towards Lagos ,and Awo was a finance minister,he changed the Nigerian currency so that you will not buy weapons with them, because your soliders looted the central bank of Nigeria. He did not allow food to come into your place because your soliders were seizing the food and eating and feeding fat while the people were dieing.lastly ,he gave them 20pounds each because you all claim you have money in the banks ,and it was all a lie,the total figure listed was more than all the money at the national bank, hence he gave everybody money ,which was 20pounds to accomdate all of you.

Atiku was thinking of winning the South with that. He should have kept some things away from the public until he won. It was a foolish miscalculation IMO.

]OF all Decrees enacted in Nigeria, none is more controversial than Decree No 34 of 1966. It was promulgated on May 24, 1966 by then Head of State Major General Johnson Thomas Umunnakwe Aguiyi Ironsi(1924-1966). It was called Unification Decree while some critics at that time labelled it De-unification Decree. It was the Decree that started the death of Regionalism-an issue which is still generating controversy presently. Although then Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, repealed Decree 34 on August 31, 1966 through Decree 9

You are not sincere at all,you created a system that worked against your plans of dominating everybody.he you had succeeded or you happen to have power like northerners, you would have been worst.you are not in support of resturcturing,go and read the ohanaze communique and you will know what you people want.you want more states creation instead of regions?you want state police instead of regional police?you want state of resident to replace state of origin?you want local governments to be scrapped.you are all part of the Nigerian problem.all southeast states are not up to Oyo state in western Nigeria in land mass but you want another state in that small area.
