Global rom is not equal to shop rom on Aliexpress, global rom is global rom, but for new devices whose global rom has not been uploaded on the miui page, some sellers can flash shop rom and claim its official global rom. Even after the release of official global rom by Xiaomi, we have seen some cases where some sellers also flashed shop roms, claiming to be global. In order to be sure that what you have is the official global rom, its safer to buy only GLOBAL VERSION for now ( this is for the Redmi note 7 only in this case) as its coming straight from Xiaomi with the seal still intact, not tampered by anyone.

the kernel source code was just released last two weeks. Just chill development takes time. Have you tried out the EU rom?

I haven't, I'm not sure it's advisable flashing it based on the reviews I've been seeing. Besides, there's the issue of waiting an eternity before the bootloader is unlocked.

And you should be aware the phone you are interested in buying is not a product you can go into any walk-in store and buy. Even on Jumia you have to pay first and wait.

Xiaomi signed a deal with Jumia to be the major distributor of their phones in Africa. And the Redmi Note 7 will be launched on wednesday in Egypt.
I think Jumia Nigeria are waiting for their mobile week that should be in April or thereafter.
