hahahaha cheesy cheesy...…………. Nursing is a profession of care givers and women are traditionally the primary care givers in most homes hence the reason for more women in the profession. It could also be attributed to the patriarchic world we live in. That's why men feel its not a "masculine" profession and discriminate against men in the profession. Hopefully we would move away from that perception in the nearest future.
You are a midwife so you should know that the WIFE in the word midwife doesn't refer to the care giver but to the client. they are the" wives" and we are the "mid" ;that is between the wife and their care grin.

who knows, as the push for more gender neutral vocabularies keep pushing through especially in North America, the name may be changed but not for the reasons you would like it to.

There are people who failed Nursing council exam after 3 attempts and got eliminated but the university gave them the BNSC certificate after oassing the degree exams. Could such people try abroad?

I would say that the answer is NO because such people are not REGISTERED NURSES. A person is designated as a GRADUATE NURSE prior to passing the final qualifying exam in North America. However, this designation isn't a permanent thing and is only valid for a short time. The graduate nurse can secure an RN job prior to passing the NCLEX but must write the NCLEX within 3mths of getting the job. If the individual fails the attempt, s/he is expected to notify the nurse manager and stop working till s/he passes the exam.
In other words, it isn't the BSN or BSCN that makes you a RN but rather it is passing the council exam that makes you one.

So NO, such person wouldn't qualify for any of these programs until s/he becomes registered.

Niagara college is in Ontario and it’s not easy leaving ur family behind in one province to go Sch in another. NNAS would be her best bet. The time it takes to get ur evaluation is dependent on how soon you get ur documents sent to them.

Hello amazing nurses. I'm a registered nurse who has passed her ielts and CBT. But I'm stuck with verification because I have an issue with my date of birth with nmcn which they aren't Willing to edit for me.
Is there anyone who has encountered or know anyone who has this problem?
I need help!!!!
Thank you
I already answered this query in a pm but let me just state it here again incase anybody is in this same situation now or in the future.

1. It is impossible to get nmcn to alter the register because of your mistake. The only exception is if they made the error on their part during documentation and you can prove it that you gave them the right details in the beginning. If you intentionally submitted a wrong date of birth during licensing then be prepared to continue with it because bringing their attention to it may cause you more harm than good. In simple terms, you risk losing your registration for falsifying information.

2. Now that you know the type of mess you are in, how do you fix it?
- you have to start on a clean slate. Simple.
Change the date on your international passport and any other relevant document you have and start a new application with the date on your nursing license. It's going to be a long and expensive journey so be prepared.
P.s.. Its sad that this is the way to move forward in this case. because of one mistake, everything becomes mistakes. If only nmcn will be receptive to changing some things like birth dates then our lives will be more easier.

you can pay for yourself If you have a dorm account otherwise Google Bellaz educational center in surulere lagos, she will make the payment on your behalf. The center is also an approved Pearson vue exam center.

I can see some Nigerians getting into Avant. Meanung that route is still opened.. What they need is a minimum of 1 year of current and consistent nursing experience in a secondary or tertiary level hospital of at least 80-100 beds and working in an acute care in patient setting.
