You should be sending your drivers for safety and operations courses at least once a year. Some of these accidents are due to drivers negligence.

With 1m, you can only buy tbills at the secondary market. You have to ask your financial services provider the maturity dates that are available. I know there's a set maturing on April 4th. Buyers don't determine the maturity date of tbills so if your window is 30days you might not find something that fits exactly

But if you're flexible, I'm sure they can find something for you
freeman67:

Getting the exact 30days tenure for TB will most time come with some stroke of luck... It is not impossible anyway. Just contact your bank or other financial institutions you use to see the if it is available.
Thanks brothers.
I just left Diamond Bank, the available tenor for TBills starts from 61 days @8.2%.
Meanwhile the bank officer advised me to go for FD for 30 days @ 9%.

I think the latter is better tho.
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by MCeemajesty(m): 10:27am On Mar 25, 2019
Is that rate of 9% on FD Net of WHT? The more you look the less you see with some Nigerian Banks.

You will be Taxed 10% of that 9% if you go for the FD. At the end what you will get is 8.1% but since your interest is in that 30days tenure, you can just go for it . The difference isn't much.

You're full of crap. With 100,000 Naira, you can buy tbills at the primary market. Stop littering this thread with false information.

They lied to you. I doubt if Diamond bank will give you more than 5% when you fixed for 30 days.

As far as I know, Stanbic ibtc gives the best interest rate on fixed deposit. i.e 8.5% for 30days.

Sometimes those things are negotiable ooo.. They may have a general rate for all customers but some customers can be more customer than the others. To be sure all he just need to do is to give an instruction for FD with all terms clearly stated and see if it will be carried out.

since you're constrained by your 30day investment window, the FD is probably your best option. if you have another bank apart from Diamond bank, you can try to get another opinion on what rate you can get for the FD noting that in all cases, there's a 10% WHT that will be applied to your interest as previously mentioned to you by another post

Speaking of Diamond bank, hope you know that the bank is now officially Access bank and your account will be converted to an access bank account. I suggest you walk into Access bank and ask them what they have on offer for T-bills and FD just to know what other possibilities are available to you

I think enough has been said about I-Invest.

Walcom, Barrytone feels uncomfortable with how he was treated in his last dealing with them, he has the exclusive right to his appraisal of any service he receives. There's no point telling him whom to blame and whom not to.

Barrytone, Walcom thinks you shouldn't place a bad label on I-Invest as some folks like himself still enjoy their service. So please agree that he can choose to take pleasure in being served by any firm he chooses.

So, bottom line is there's enough info now on the forum about what's obtainable from banks and what's obtainable from Apps like I-Invest.

let each man choose for himself

Meanwhile Q2 is coming in just a few days.

How many of us have reached 25% of our investment target for the year?

By month end, I'll be at about 10%. shocked shocked
If I go with the second target it'll be about 13%.

You may not like the app but investing with it is more convenient to me, thanks to their liquidity and credibility

The fact that you had one bad experience with them should not be a reason to be tarnishing their reputation as we just read from your side.

I started using the app from October as i did more than 30 transactions so far. No single problem!

Whenever I demand my money from either matured or running investment i got it instantly.

My verdict; @Barrytone must be novice at using business application which made makes him to follow the wrong procedure of investing with the app.

My money, my novice, I no do again

Thanks for the details bro,
sometimes last February, i visited all the banks available execpt Stanbic to my suprise, Diamond Bank got the best deal.
GT offered 5.5%, First Bank 7%, Ecobank 8%, Access 4,5% the rest are just poor.
However, 30 days is never a constant, the problem is getting much money.
Ive discovered I could get more money on FD in 61 days than TBills.

Thanks again bro.
