Episode 1

Mr Anthony was a wealthy man, he lived
in the house with his son, David, his wife
Rita and his friend’s daughter Susan,she
came for a holiday, she had been living
with them as one family, Mr Anthony also
had two maids that carry out all the house
chores.
David was good looking but does not talk
much, he had a friend Ken, he always
hangs around with him, his parents don’t
give him chance of mixing with others.
The two maids, Stella and Rose where
inside their room talking
“Stella, let’s share our duties before going
to bed” Rose said sitting up.
“You are right, share let me choose” Stella
replied also sitting up.
“No, I will choose first”
“Alright, I will share” Rose noaded in
agreement.
“prepare all the meals and tidy up the
house or wash all the clothes and runs any
other little chores sent by the family
members” Stella concluded looking at Rose
to make her choice.
“I choose the first option”
“Hmm, so you want me to face small
ma’am’s trouble today”
“Have you forgotten that I did it
yesterday?”
“Alright good night” Stella replied turning
to the wall.
“Stella” Rose called out lifting her head
up.
“What is that?”
“Have you noticed how handsome the
young boss is”
“How is that my business?”
“I’m in love with him”
“Rose, do you know that you are insane”
“Is it because I’m saying my mind”
“You are in a dream world that can’t be a
reality, I’m going to sleep” Stella turned
her back against her, Rose made an ugly
face at her and lays down.

THE NEXT MORNING
David and Susan sat outside the compound
talking when Stella walked across them
with sweeping bloom.
“Good morning ma’am, good morning sir”
she greeted them
“How are you Stella?”
“I’m fine ma’am” Stella replied and left.
“David, what will be our plan for today”
Susan asked dropping her tumbler on the
table.
“I’m planning to visit Ken my friend, he
has a sister too, maybe you can make
friend with her”
“I’m not used to mixing up with people,
so I don’t like the idea, can’t we do
something more interesting”
“like what?”
“What if we go for party?”
“I don’t go to parties” just then Stella
came out with a waste basket, she was
walking fast when she hits her leg against
a stone.
“My leg oo!” she screamed in pain, David
rushed to her
“What happened” he asked looking at her
bleeding toe, just then, Susan walked up
to them
“Hey, don’t you watch your steps, must
we notice you?” Stella jumped up
immediately.
“I’m sorry ma’am, it was an accident”
“Susan, she is right, accident can happen
at anytime” he touched the wounded part.
“This is serious, you have to see the
doctor” David said helping her up.
“David?, she is just a maid”
“There is nothing wrong with that, we
treat them equally” Stella had her head
bent down.
“Stella, get ready, we are going to
hospital”
“I will be fine sir” Stella replied with fear.
“Get ready and meet me in the car” he sat
down and Stella walked in leaving the
basket behind.
“I don’t believe that you are treating those
maids equally” Stella went to the black car
and stood besides it.
“I will meet you when I’m back” he picked
up his car key and left adjusting his shirt,
Susan let him go but was very angry.
Rose was in the room when Stella entered
the room, she was not walking normally to
Rose’s notice
“what happened to you, I saw the basket
outside” just then Stella sat down and Rose
did the same
“I was hurt but small boss has taken me to
hospital”
“That is amazing!, did you talk with him?,
did you touch him?”
“You are crazy Rose”
“I wish to have that opportunity”
“Good night Rose, I’m very tired” Stella
lays down leaving Rose who was smiling
silly, she finally laid down still smiling.
The next day, Rose was coming back from
market, she was holding a lots of stuffs,
she saw David standing besides his car and
changed her footsteps, she was staring at
him when she fell down, she screamed
hoping to get assistant from David but he
ignored her and drove off, Rose was angry
with herself, she angrily walked inside.

Rose went inside the kitchen with anger,
she met Stella washing dishes, Rose
dropped what she was holding and rested
her hand against the wall, Stella dropped
the last dish that she was holding and
turned to her
“Is there any problem?” Stella asked
looking direct to her face
“Young boss ignored me after falling
down” Stella bursted out laughing
“Wait oo, don’t tell me that you did that
to get his attention”
“Not exactly, I was just trying to draw his
attention”
“So what is the difference, you are not
trying to get his attention, any way let me
finish up before that small madam will
start barking” Rose turned to go but Stella
called her back
“Please help me to dress up the dinnen”
Rose stared at her for sometimes
“Any way, I’m doing this because you are
my friend, I’m not in good mood today”
she started going
“Rose Rose, that is why I like you” Stella
did not watch her out and started
laughing again
“This Rose can be funny” she opened a pot
and breathed in heavily with her eyes
closed, just then, she heard a foot step,
she turned to the door direction and met
Susan, she closed the pot immediately
“Good evening ma’am” Susan did not even
reply her, she walked closer to her
“What are you coking?” she closed her
nose and started sneezing, she finally
stopped
“Rice and stew Ma’am”
“I don’t take fried food, just prepare
something else for me”
“What will like ma’am”
“Just noodles”
“I will do that at once ma’am” Susan left
the Kitchen, Stella continued.
The whole family sat at dinnen while the
food was served by Stella, she stood right
until the dinner was over, Stella sat in the
kitchen to eat her own food with Rose,
they just started eating when Susan walked
in, Stella and Rose stood up and greeted
her.
“Stella go to my room, carry those dirty
clothes and wash it”
“I will do that when I’m done eating
ma’am”
“Are you deaf?”
“I’m sorry ma’am” Stella replied getting
up, just then David walked in holding a
plate
“What is going on here” Dav asked walking
closer to them
“Could you imagine this common maid, I
asked her to wash my dirty clothes but
she refused” Dav looked down at the
untouched food on the floor
“You should let them finish their food
first”




“They are supposed to carry out my oder
first”
“Like I said earlier Susan, we treat them
equally” Rose started touching her self
smiling sillily, when she noticed that Dav
did not look at her, she walked forward
“Is okay sir, I will do it and eat my food
after then” Dav was surprised but he left
the kitchen, Susan waved at Rose to come
with her and left, Rose turned back at
Stella with a pity look
“You accepted that right?” she sat down
and continued eating, Rose kept looking at
her
“Go on lover girl” Rose left and Stella
started laughing at the process, the food
entered her throat and she started
coughing, she reached to the water and
drank some.
Susan got dressed standing behind the
door, Dav also joined her, Rose who was
cleaning up the windows, dropped
everything, she watched Susan held Dav’s
hand as they walk to the car, Rose ran
inside their room and started crying, Stella
was trying everything possible to find out
what the problem was all about but she
refused to talk to her, Stella was very
worried, she even refused eating as she
watches Rose cry without telling her what
is wrong.

“Rose talk to me, what is the problem”
Rose used her back hand to clean up tears
“Boss is dating small madam”
“And what happened to that” Stella asked
looking surprised
“You know how much I love him, why is
he not giving me attention for once” Stella
lifted her hand to her shoulder
“Listean Rose, our boss belong to a high
class, you are just trying to reach stars
which is not possible, just stop all these”
“You won’t understand, I had tried to give
up on him but I can’t”
“Is okay, try to eat something, if our boss
is yours, he will surely come for you” Rose
cleaned up her tears and started eating.
David and his father was at sitting room,
they called Rose to serve them drink, she
left and returned with wine and two
tumblers in a try and kept it on a table,
Mr Anthony noticed that her eyes was
pure red
“What happened to your eyes Rose, did
you cry?” David was looking at her too
“I’m fine sir, something entered my eyes
when I was trying to get something from
the cupboard”
“Is okay, hope you have done something
about it”
“yes sir”
“You can go now” Rose bowed and left
“Son, what is your next step”
“Nothing much dad, I just want to travel
out of the country”
“That will be a good idea but I want you
to look after the company for sometimes”
“But you are here dad”
“No I will be travelling out of the country
with your mother”
“For how long?”
“Six months”
“That will be too long”
“I also want to see how you can manage
the company”
“Okay dad” they started drinking
David was laying on his bed operating his
phone, he heard a knock from the door
“The door is open” the door opened and
Susan entered wearing a black short skirt
and sleeveless loose top, she walked
closer to David
“Susan what is it”
“I just want to ask if you want to eat
anything” Dav was surprised, he looked at
her from head to toe
“I don’t remember you entering kitchen
talk more of cooking, so what is the
secret, are you trying to seduce me?, if
yes, you have failed” Dav picked up his
phone from the bed and left the room.
The next day, during lunch Susan and Dav
walked over to the dinnen and sat down,
Susan was smiling from ear to ear, David
did not give her any smile, Stella served
them water and stood behind them, Susan
served the rice and stew in two plates, Dav
picked up a spoon, he stirred it and
carried one spoon inside his mouth, he
swallowed it
“Stella, who prepared this meal?”
“I did” Susan replied with a smile
“You did what?, is this food or something”
Dav got up and rushed to the sink and
started vomiting the food, Susan also got
up and left, Stella packed the plates and
returned to their room and started
laughing
“Stella why are you laughing”
“Hope you did not bring any food from
the pot”
“No what happened”
“You can’t believe it, small madam tried to
cook for our boss but he couldn’t eat it”
“Are you serious”
“Please bring that bread before someone
will eat poison and die here”
“Don’t mind her, she thinks she can
seduce my love with food”
“What is this one talking about” Rose
hissed bringing out the bread from the
cupboard, Stella started laughing again
“Just wait until you see us getting married”

David sat outside the house alone when
Susan joined him, he did as if he did not
see her, Susan stood before him.
“Dav, I’m sorry for what happened” Dav
did not say anything and she continued
“I was doing all that because I just want
you to give me attention for once, please
I’m sorry” David dropped his phone on a
stool



“Is okay, have a sit” Dav held her hand
leading her to a chair besides his, Stella
carried some dirty clothes walking to the
washing machine, she got to them and
greeted them with tears in her eyes
“Stella, why are you crying?” Dav asked
looking at her



“I got a call from my mother that my only
brother is sick”



“Is that the problem?”
“Yes sir”



“After washing the clothes, you can go and
see him”





“Thank you very much sir” Stella greeted
wiping off her tears
“Don’t forget to inform me before leaving”
“Okay sir” Stella left with the clothes
“Dav, are you planning to let her go”
“Yes Susan, she have to see her sick
brother” Dav replied




“Alright then, everything is in your hand”
“I will be going to sport club with Ken, do
you care joining us”





“Sure, that will be fun” Susan replied with
a smile, they continued drinking until
Stella came out with a small hand bag, she
stood before them
“I’m ready sir”
“Okay” he dipped his hand inside his
pocket and gave her some money, Stella
collected it from him and greeted him
“When are you coming back?”

“Okay, you can go now”




“Thank you sir” Stella left the house.
“Susan get ready let’s go” Susan ran inside
the house happily.
Stella got to their house and met her
mother Edith sitting besides her brother
Piggy, Stella dropped her bag and rushed
to her brother
“How is he mother”



“I gave him some drugs but nothing
changed”




“Let’s take him to the hospital” Stella
grabbed her brother’s hand
“How are we going to pay the hospital
bills”




“I have some money on me” she replied as
she tears dropped from her eyes, she
carried Piggy up and left, her mother
followed her.
Rose had worked much, she was tired
already, she sat down at the entrance to
have some rest, she finally slept off, Susan
walked to her with a load of clothes and
dropped it on her, Rose woke up
immediately and stood up yawning, David
also came out seeing what was happening,
he stood there
“Susan what is that”





“I just gave her my clothes to wash”
“She is the only one on duty, why don’t
you give her a breathing space, just go to
the washing machine and do it yourself”
“David?” Susan called out looking
surprised



“Rose, go inside and have some rest okay?”
“Thank you sir” Rose lazily entered inside
and Dav left as well, Susan was very mad
she felt like crying.


Rose was awake all the night thinking
about Dav, finally he had given her
attention for once, she wished Stella was
around so that she can share the good
news with her, she finally slept off and
entered into the dream world, she went to
wonder land with Dav, they had a lots of
fun together, Dav finally brought out a
ring to propose to her, Susan ran out
from none where and snatched the ring
from him, Rose rushed to her with great
annoyance, she grabbed her hair and the
both started fighting, Dav was trying to
separate them but they kept fighting, just
then, alarm from the clock woke her up,
she turned on the light and found the
pillow pissed off everywhere, she was still
angry about her dream, she was still angry
at Susan for spoiling her happy moment
with Dav when she heard a knock from
the door, she jumped down and started
arranging everywhere as fast as she can.

opened the door, she saw Susan, before
she could greet her, she gave her a sound
slap
“For how long had I been knocking”

wash those clothes before you start telling
me that you are tired”

“Lest I forget, prepare breakfast for him

David is out for work, Susan was left
alone in the house with Rose, Rose

her bath, she sat under a tree outside

They took Stella to camera room, Dav got up
and followed them, they told the camera man to
review what happened, when it was reviewed,
they found out that someone truly gave the
watch to her, they also saw how the lady
disappeared, her face was not seen
“Look at that I’m innocent” Stella cried out
“It is very clear in the camera, can we go now?”
“We will definitely catch her, we are sorry for
harassing you” referring to Stella, he turned to
the security men
“You guys shall be security conscious for this
not repeat again” Dav left and Stella followed
him, they paid and entered the car
“Listen Stella, I won’t like this to repeat itself
again”

to something”
“Those thieves are always smart, they carries it

prepare a good meal, the both was very happy,
at least, Susan’s orders will ease.
Mr and Mrs Anthony finally got home, they sat
together and ate with the both maids standing

Mr Anthony sat at the sitting room with David

than when it was under my control, I think you
should continue with that”

Stella sat down on their bed breathing heavily,
she was worried on what her boss was about to

sweating all over when Rose walked in, she
dropped the clothes that she was holding and sat
besides her
“Stella, what is wrong with you, you are sweating
all over” Rose asked looking confused

“Stop that, our boss saw both of us, I don’t know
what he was about to tell him”

Dav sat at sitting room watching movie when
Susan joined him

but my heart does not beat for you and there is

Stella replied with tears
“Believe me, I won’t let them” he was staring at
her when Mrs Anthony walked to them

Stella stood up and Dav held her hand

left.
Susan packed her things to leave the house but
Mrs Anthony stooped her
“Listen Susan, this is your house, you need to be
strong”

hates me, I want to go”

just take your bag inside”

“No is better we keep her here and have our

hospital, he was seriously ill, she was walking
when a car stopped behind her, she turned
around and saw Kevin smiling at her.

“I’m going to see my brother in the hospital”
“Alright, I will go with you then” Stella did not
ague, her phone rang, that was Rose, she picked

tablet of sleeping pills and left, Dav returned, he
was about to carry up the tumbler
“Sir, your lunch is ready”
“Alright” he dropped the tumbler, he stood up
and left with her.
Stella was sweeping outside the house when
Susan came out
“Good morning ma’am”
“Leave that, go inside and prepare coffee for
me”
“Ma’am big madam instructed us to sweep the
compound before preparing breakfast” Susan
gave her a sound slap that sent her to the
ground

Rose was sent to buy some food items, Dav

work, it was left with Mrs Anthony and Susan,
immediately Rose left for market, Mrs Anthony
and Susan tied Stella up and threw her inside the
car boot, Paul was ignorant of what happened,
he opened the gate for them and they drove off.

Dav got home, he did not see anyone at home,
he sat outside before Rose comes in carrying a
nylon bag
“Rose where is everyone?”
“I don’t know sir”
“Okay, have you seen Stella”
“She was still in the house when I left for
market”
“Okay, I will call her” Rose left, Dav dialed
Stella’s number severally but it was switched off.
“Where could she be” Dav said becoming
uncomfortable, he stood up and went inside.
Stella got herself in a deep river, she could not
breath properly, she tried to find her way out but
she found out that, she was far from the shore,
water was about to drawn her when a boat
rushed to her direction and lifted her up, she
looked up and saw Dav staring at her
“Dav?” Stella called out and colaped in his arms,
the boat rider speeds up.
Stella opened her eyes in Dav’s arms, he sat on
a coach behinds the beach
“How are you feeling?”
“I’m better”
“What happened to you?”
“I got myself in the middle of the river”
“Can you recall anything?”
“Big madam and madam Susan knocked me
down and tied me up”
“Don’t worry about that, I have spy all round, I
will get to know all their plans, trust me”
“Thank you for saving me”
“You are not going back to that house again, we
are going to keep your rescue secret”

Stella tried to stand up but Dav carried her in his

his pocket

Susan and Mrs Anthony was drinking in the
sitting room happily, David entered looking very
tired, he wanted to go but turned back to them

“I have not seen her since I got home, is getting
late already”
“How is that my business, maybe she is gone,
she can even die” Dav quietly entered his room.
Dav sat alone at the sitting room when Rose

“Sir, since yesterday, I have not seen Stella, and
no one is talking about looking for her, I’m
worried”
“I’m also worried, in fact, halve of me is dead, I
have invited the police but there is no good news

Mrs Anthony was inside her room when Dav knocked, he opened the door and joined her
“Good morning mom” she did not reply, Dav knelt before his mother
“I’m sorry mom, that will not happen again”
“The only thing that can make me to forgive you is for you to marry Susan”

“That is my son” she helped him up and hugged him

Susan went inside the bathroom to take her bath in the night, after that, she forgot her wrist watch and went inside, on her way to her room, she remembered that the electric bulb in her room has stopped working, she walked over to Dav’s room to ask help from him, when she got to the door, she found out that the door was not locked, she got inside and met Dav fast asleep, she found out that he was drunk, he went to party with his friend Ken, Susan locked up the door and returned back to him.

“I’m sorry ma’am” Dav replied looking sad
“Talk to me, where is my daughter” she said becoming uncomfortable
“Stella is gone, we can’t find her Corps”
“This can’t be true, tell me where she is”
“Cool down ma’am” she started crying loud that attracted sleeping Piggy
“Where is sister Stella” his mother looked at him and stated crying again
“You sister is gone” Dav calmly replied patting him, he tried to console them but to no avail, he finally gave them some money and went home.
Rose walked to Mr Anthony where he sat drinking and reading news paper
“Good day sir”
“How are you Rose”
“I’m fine sir” she replied but kept standing, Mr Anthony removed his glasses and looked up at her
“Is there any problem”
“Yes sir, I want to resign and join my husband” she replied looking sad
“I won’t like you to resign Rose”
“Sir my husband wants me to stay around the house”
“I understand, you know what, I will allow you to go home each day after work”
“Thank you very much sir” Rose replied with a smile and left.
Mrs Anthony sat outside when Susan walked to her with a paper, she opened the paper and looked into it
“You are pregnant?”
“Yes ma’am” she replied looking bit sad
“I believe David is responsible”
“Yes ma’am, I can show you my evidence” she turned on the camera, after looking at the camera, she hugged her with a smile, Susan was so happy
“Have you told him?”
“Not yet”
“I will tell him myself” she started laughing happily.
Dav was inside his room when Rose informed him that his parents wants his presence, he stood up and joined his parents innocently, he was surprised that Susan was there as well, he sat down looking at his happy parents
“You sent for me dad”
“Yes, when are you fixing your wedding with Susan”
“I don’t understand dad”
“You have to understand now because she is already pregnant for you”
“Pregnant?, by who?” he asked looking shocked
“Don’t try to pretend because she has all the evidence against you”
“I have never touched her talk more of.., whatever it is, I will never marry her, I’m tired of all these”
“Try to fix your wedding date or you will hear from me”
“Susan?” looking at Susan who was punching her nails
“Yes you are responsible” she replied
“Whatever you plans might be, it will never work for you, Dad, mom, I’m not responsible for that” his parents stood up without saying anything and left.
Susan’s stomach was gradually coming out, Dav finally fixed a date for their wedding, Susan was very happy that her arms was finally achieved, Rose was very angry with Dav, he had ruined Stella’s life, now he wants to marry Susan with his unborn child.
David visited Stella, they sat down for a long time but he did not say anything
“Dav, what is wrong with you, you had been silent for a long time”
“I’m really in a big mess with Susan and my parents”
“What is it this time”
“Susan accused me of getting her pregnant”
