I remember when I was a student.. This uncle of mine always lamenting he had no money . He would say "No Shi Shi, No Shi shi". He can't give you 10 naira no matter how you beg him and tell him you are in need of money... Someone who lived with us and my mother practically clothed and fed him and saw him through secondary school and University. One day, he received a debit alert of 6million naira .. He almost ran mad. Came to our house to cry... We were all shocked .We kept asking, "Uncle is it 6 naira, or 6 million? " He realized himself and left in pain. Never got the money back. Bank denied knowing anything about it 18 Likes |

Fash20: It happened to me. Do what I did: Write a letter to the bank manager. Describe what happened. Place in there a statement that you will get a lawyer and explore legal action for funds and damages if your money is not refunded within a reasonable time frame (very important). Bet me, without fail, you will receive a response within 1 week. 2 Likes |

What is a 75 year old doing with mobile banking obviously she is using a smart phone and must have compromised her banking details one way or the other .I don’t trust the elderly with this our moderne day technology .And please don’t forget to share the story on twitter when you discover it is one of her grandkids or relatives that took the money cause your guys are quick to call the banks out when you discover foul play but once the truth comes out you go mute who knows it might even be you that took the money . Trust nobody , I have experienced something like this before my little niece came from school and stole €13,000 from my late mum on a Sunday when everyone was in church if not for some Neigbours that stood their ground they saw her that particular day in the house we would have arrested innocent tenants she got back to school and was on a spending spree with her useless boyfriend 8 Likes |

does your grandmum live alone ? are you sure someone in the family is not using her phone to move the money bit by bit, deleting the OTP text and returning it to her, Old women are the easiest to prey on ... back in uni days a guy robbed the full hostel good money , using this method , he was using roomies account to buy airtime and selling it cheaply back then , he was able to cover his tracks very well because the airtime went to a pre registered sim card he bought it got worse when he cleared a guyman's school fees , he was the first to act surprised and suggested we all go to a herbalist to find out, we all thought the banks where playing us.. he cleared another neigbours( R.I.P) 300k, we didn't even know that guy had 100 naira in his account then ,so we didn't believe him. it got so worst. thank God he was exposed by God ..who's been balling so well lately ? I think the first thing to do in this case is to first ask for bank statement ... but you didn't , then again it could be you ! 9 Likes |

Story get k leg . There’s no way the manager would be surprised . Why is she even copying the MD ? Why not copy the banks handle ? Very easy thing , coporate audit would investigate and show you who took the money . Case closed . |

Conclude your investigations before trying to sue the bank. I am very sure the fraud was initiated from the other end. Maybe someone in your family has secretly registered your grandma phone on Ussd banking and has also been using it to initiate web payment and been deleting the otp sent secretly. 1 Like |
