No No noo. The tribunal has given its directive who won and what should be done. Its now Oyetolas turn to go to court and not that being a condition for issuing or not issuing the certificate. INEC is disobeying court order. Rubbish. Give him the cert. Adeleke has been declared winner so what are you waiting for? Obey first.

True though cos as it stands, Oyetola's mandate has been nullified by a competent electoral tribunal and such judgment ought to be commplied with immediately . However, the process is different here...

how did Ekiti enter your list ?

If it were that all electoral disputes could be resolved before handover date, it would make perfect sense to wait until after the final verdict from the most superior court and then a certificate of return is issued. As it stands, the Electoral act provides that the Tribunal must conclude hearing and give judgment not later than 180 days, 90 days each for the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. That is effectively 1 year. Meanwhile a sitting governor will typically handover about 3 months after election. Should there then be a vacuum when there is a 'validly' elected governor in waiting?

As for not issuing Adeleke a certificate of return immediately, I guess it's tidier to wait until the end and then re-issue if need be otherwise, it the Supreme Court rules in Oyetola's favour, there will be no need.

Don't be so certain oga, the court looks at the weight of evidence and nothing more... By d way, Justice Tanko Mohammed would just be one of the 7 justices to preside at d Supreme Court. He may merely give a dissenting judgement as against d majority decision of d oda Justices. Make we no dey do like say Tanko na em get Supreme Court. D same thing applies to Atiku's case.

Three judges: Justice Ibrahim Sirajo, Justice Peter Obiora and Justice Adegboye Gbolagunte sat as panel members of the tribunal. Justice Obiora and Adegboye ruled in favour of PDP as the majority judgment. Why are you not attacking the yoruba judge? Will you say you did not know that there were 3 on the panel including a judge of yoruba extraction? Or is it because Justice Obiora read the lead judgment? Have you even taken time to read the pronouncements of the lead judgment in order to appreciate its basis or you are just blinded by pointless ethnic bias against the Igbo as usual?
