My post ITA, pre AOR self is already thinking of life in Canada with young children. How do we help our children deal with racism? I feel the best way is to talk bout it with your kids in a positive manner. Came across this article https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/555995/ 9 Likes 6 Shares |

ifegy: Out of the dollar stores, Dollar Tree seem to be cheaper as I get most items there at $1.25 or less. In addition to this, there is an app(flipp) I use to know stores having deals/promotions in my area(Edmonton) and it's been helpful so far. cc hayor2014 27 Likes 43 Shares |

Hey Fam, I need some input, I’m trying to book my ticket, I’m considering Turkish airline, their layovers are in Turkey and Vienna, do I need a transit visa for this? Has anyone booked international flight tickets using Expedia, any review or feedback please? Thanks. |

Milllz: Why do you wanna have 2 layovers bro? It's not as if the flight is cheap. I would advise you sort your booking by 1 stop only. Expedia is fine but also compare their rates with other booking sites. |

Milllz: For Turkish airline, If your layover is over 16 hrs ( they will book an hotel for you for layover hrs of 16 and above), and You wanna leave the airport into the city, then You will need a transit visa I don't know about Vienna 1 Like 1 Share |

IykeD: Most flights to Canada have 2 layovers and the flight is relatively cheap. The layovers are 3 hrs and 1hr respectively so there wouldn’t be much waiting. Thanks. 1 Like |

Good morning house, Pls I'm asking for a friend. She will be landing in a few days and she wants to get health insurance from here for a family of 4. Pls should she go ahead and do it from here? I think ethopian air travel insurance , heard it covers the 1st 3months after landing. Or is there any other way to get insurance before the Canadian one kicks in (considering it takes roughly 3months)? Or should she wait till she arrives Canada? She has small kids 2& 8yrs . Although they are not sickly, but shes just trying to be cautious. What's your take pls.? 3 Likes |

Iyamarun: Hi, you are allowed to bring pets into Canada but you need to be aware of and prepare/apply for inspection/quarantine in addition to getting an import permit before hand. These links will be useful to you as you seek info and get things in order well ahead of your trip; https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/fpa-apa/fees-droits-eng.html http://www.inspection.gc.ca/animals/terrestrial-animals/imports/policies/live-animals/pets/eng/1326600389775/1326600500578 https://clearit.ca/canadian-customs-broker-blog/crossing-the-border-with-your-pet/ 2 Likes 5 Shares |

Nono16: Depends on the province she'll be living in. If the province she'll be going to requires a 3 month wait, I'd rather buy health insurance in Canada. |
