BIG PROBLEM. what could be wrong with my solar system? In less than 10mins it moves from 11.9v to 13.8v. This means that it has cut off solar energy for the day.

Getting the "BEST" 200ah battery is a very difficult question to answer. I have seen flooded trojan batteries fail in about three months of
operation, I have also supplied MERCURY AGM batteries that worked for over 3years and another supply of thesame MERCURY batteries that
died in about a year of operation. When it comes to battery durability so many factors comes into play, I will just give you my own rule of the
thumb when selecting batteries and of course its not fool proof:

1. Make sure for a 200ah battery, the weight is at least 60kg and for 100ah at least 30kg in weight.
2. Make sure they are properly charged and the charger cuts off when the battery is fully charged.
3. Make sure the batteries are not drained below the system voltage. That means for a 12vdc system, do not drain the battery below 12v and
for a 24vdc system, do not drain below 24v and so on.

Hello Feflo. Please could you explain what a converted UPS is? is it just a UPS with jumped battery wire to a Bigger battery?

I have a 2200VA Blue Gate UPS and would be glad if I can make an Inverter out of it.

Yeah, I really commend him for that. At least he could give courage to people who could do it themselves, and he still gets his client - makes his money. All other ones would only want to make money from EVERYONE. Ask them for an idea to do something, they ask you to contact them privately so they can tell you it's comes for a price.

Only that name Feflo has made would make him go more further. God bless you Mr Femi. You have really helped so many people and God would reward you in folds.
